My story.......Please read I stopped in to Dave and Mike's after reading all the wonderful reviews on the internet and I thought, wow, how refreshing..... A dealer that gets great reviews. I was in the market for a first car for my daughter and there was a 2006 Hyundai Sonata on their lot. Car was beautiful and my daughter fell in love with it right away. Dave personally assured me it was the best car on the lot and that all the salespeople were driving it because of how well it had been maintained and assured me he had all the maintenance records from the previous owner as well. Which i founf out later was not true. Had a lot of fun talking with Dave and his mother. It was honestly one of the most enjoyable times I have ever spent buying a car. Dave's mother is sweet. Bought car and with taxes and fees ended up paying around $5300 total. Which I Paid in CASH. Took delivery of the car on September 24, 2015.

Within 24 hours of getting the car, the check engine light came on. Called Dave and he told me to bring the car back in and then informed me that he had already had it to the Hyundai dealership in Millville for repair. What? No-one told me that before I bought the car. He assured me it was ok because the Hyundai dealer guaranteed all the repairs that were done to the O2 system.....and that the check engine light was probably due to O2 system again. Took car back next day, and after a little bit of getting upset, Dave agreed to give me a loaner car.and gave me one of his cars to drive. Still thinking I picked the right dealer..... Car was taken back to Hyundai dealer in Millville and they had the car for about a week or so.

Dave called to tell me they replaced a part in the O2 system and also had to replace the fuel tank( WHAT? the fuel tank? ) Now I am really concerned, but he assures me all work done my the dealership will be guaranteed. He also informed me that as a courtesy to me, He had the car inspected, nice right? Saves me some time..... Wrong. That was only done to hide any issues that would have shown up if I had taken the car through inspection myself. Anyway.... have the car back and everything seems to be going ok.... Daughter is driving it every day.... Then on 12/7 after only having the car for less then 11 weeks, my daughter calls to tell me she is sitting on the side of the highway at night in the dark and that the car started making this really crazy noise and then suddenly just died. Sill thinking ok, stuff happens. I did buy a used car....

Call Dave and Mike's the next day. Lady who works there is VERY helpful and pleasant to deal with and gives me all the information i need to contact extended warranty company. Call them and they have me find a Hyundai dealer close to me and have the car towed. Never once asked me how many miles were on the car. Dealership calls in repair and warranty company informs them my daughter put 3500 miles on the car and I was only covered for 3000. Now i have to have it towed back from Delaware. Call Dave and Mike's back cause I am stupidly thinking, well, they sold me a car that did not even make it for the first 3 months. They will help me, right. Nope. I have called the dealership multiple times and no-one will call me back. BEWARE.... They are in it for the sale only and they WILL NOT stand behind the cars they sell.

This may sound like I am just whining and its my fault it is not covered under warranty because we put too many miles on it, I get that but dont wait until you are sitting there with a car you paid good money for being told you will need to pay an additional $4000 to replace a motor that went bad in under 4000 miles. I cannot afford to pay that and they are not offering me any assistance. My only option will be to file civil suit and hopefully get a judge to agree. Beware that lemon law does not cover any vehicle older then 9 years. So, in closing, they sold me a car they knew to be defective, guaranteed me repairs the other dealership made to car would be covered, had the car inspected without my consent and most likely by dealer that did repairs to the O2 system and now will not return my calls. If that sounds like the dealer where you want to buy your next car, please think again. I have a car i paid $5300 for and will be lucky to get $300 in scrap.

The rest of my story.....

Dave and Mike's did stand behind the car and called me back finally. While they did not assume any responsibility for the repairs on my vehicle, they did assist me in getting the repairs done for less then $2000 when the Hyundai dealer wanted almost $5000
