Dave's Appliance repair made me pay for parts and labor upfront...my washing machine died.   The company never showed on the day the repair was supposed to be done.  Company offered to refund money when I called but that was a bold face lie when I told them I was coming to their store to pick up my check. So,  I had to buy a new washing machine..... I am out that $$$.  Took the day off from work.... I am out that $$$$.  And the owner Dave of Dave's Appliance Repair in Horsham PA told me he was keeping all my money that I gave him for a repair that was never done to the tune of $347.00.  Don't ever pay for anything in advance !!!! I should of known something was fishy !!!!  Now I have to spend more $$$ to go to small claims court !!!

Cheryl Barlow had an appointment with us on Saturday 4/02/11. We had to special order a control board for her which could not be ordered until Monday 4/4/11. When we have to special order a part for a customer we tell them it takes 3 to 5 business days for it to arrive and that the order is nonrefundable. She then signed a work order for the part that states on it the part is nonrefundable and we will call to schedule an appointment when we receive the part. she also paid in full for the part. We never called her to schedule an appointment for Wednesday 4/6/11 nor did she call us to see if the part had arrived. She called the office on Wed 4/6 very irate that we had not arrived. Our office manager Julie explained to her that the part was not in yet but should be in by Friday. She then said she wanted to cancel the part and buy a new washer. She was told again the part was nonrefundable and she was very angry as this was not acceptable to her. Julie called Dave Foster the owner to ask what we could do to satisfy the customer. He said since we had to pay for the part if she wanted to give us the old washer we would try and sell it to recoup our money and just charge her the service charge for coming out to the house on Saturday. She agreed to this but then when we went to pick up the washer she said she wanted a full refund. We bent over backwards to satisfy her but could not. She then sent a man into our office demanding a refund. When we pulled the paperwork which clearly states the part is nonrefundable and we would call to confirm an appointment with her signature he apoligized and left. She then called to say she wanted the appliance fixed, that we were trying to make money on her by selling the old washer at a large profit. Of course that is not true we would have been lucky to break even.  We went there on Monday 4/11/11 and installed the part. When we place an order for a part we never know how long it will take until we receive it. We make an appointment once it arrives. No one ever has to take time off from work as our first appointment is 6:30am and we have Saturdays . When we give the client a time slot unless they are the first appointment we never really know how long each job will take. If we give you 12-5 we could get there at 12 or 4:30. We call if we are delayed and we call when we are on the way. Dave's Appliance is a very customer service oriented  family run business. Dave trys very hard to satisfy each and every customer even when it costs him money to do so.
