Dave Walter Inc, Dave Walter BMW, Dave Walter Volkswagon False advertising Akron Ohio
Purchased a car out of state from Dave Walter Inc, was led to believe vehicle was in excellant condition, advertised as including 6 disc cd, purchased vehicle and had shipped to me . Keys were in ignition and window down when shipper went to pick up. CD player removed. Window off track, rims chrome flaking off on entire inside of all of them. Stock rims are $338.00 each Stock OEM shocks are over $400.00 each.Vehicle would not pass Virginia state inspection until I spent additional money(exhaust and needed shocks, rear license plates light, etc.) Lied too by employees that a replacement cd would arrive.
I have given numerious calls and still no cd. asst mgr said window could have happened in shipping ( which I highly doubt- in other words too bad fix it yourself) NEVER received copies of signed paperwork. Phoned several times for the owner and never did/could talk to him (as he was always out of the office -yeah right, whatever) I have sinced filed complaint with the BBB of Akron and as of yet have received no response. (which I doubt I ever will) They are not BBB accredited. Read BBB complaints/practices. Buy your car from somewhere else. Sales people not truthful and neither are the rest of anyone whom I spoken with.

State of Ohio is a "Buyer Beware" state

Received notice from BBB of Ohio that Dave Walter has not responded any replies. (this does not surprise me) I then contact Ohio Attorney Generals Office in Columbus Ohio and was told Ohio is a "Buyer Beware" state. which means exactly as it says. They do not have a three day right of refusal or should I say the ability to cancel a contract within three days as alot of states do and beware what you buy because if you buy it, it's yours etc. I could not file a claim in reference to the issues with my vehicle but I could file a claim against the items that were supposed to be in/with my vehicle that I did not receive. Which I have done, now time will tell what if anything comes from this.
