This guy did not get the best of me but he will try to use bait and switch tactics, I believe it was the owner of the company RJ that was doing this to make matters worse. I would tread carefully before doing business with this guy he will try to screw you like he tried to get my family.

I had forgot to add that I contacted him about 2 hours after he had posted the ad for the rental property.  I doubt in that small time frame he already had a deposit for it.

I emailed a listing for a house for rent that I was interested in.  I received an email back from Davenport realty that he had received a deposit on what I was interested in already.  Rather than offer other homes for rent he tried to get me to get "Pre-Qualified" for a $500 down home purchase.  If I was interested in purchasing I would be looking for homes to buy not rent.  I think like the others there never was a home for rent and it is a unprofessional way for him to gain contact with people.

I worked with the owner RJ Davenport when he was with Allen Tate in Gastonia.  I agree with the original report.  He is not in business for the consumer he is out for self.  My original contact with him was to view a house for rent instead he talked to me about buying a house, sent me to one of his friends that was a property manager for a newly constructed neighborhood, convinced me that I would never be able to purchase a house of that size or price in Charlotte and then wanted to charge me 6% commission on the purchase when the standard was 3%.  I tried calling the owner at Allen Tate to make a complaint and conveniently was never able to touch base with her, so I had to wait for my contract with RJ expire.  Needless to say, I was able to purchase a bigger home than what he was trying to get me to buy for less money and the agent I used only charge 1%... God Is Good!  RJ is definitely.  My advice to all new homeowners is know before you go, do your research and ALWAYS ALWAYS listen to the little voice inside of you.  It will definitely save you money and time.  It did for me!
