David Bronstein, Web Marketing International, Bearich Film Productions Inc & Talking 4 $$$ TV Show get paid big $$$ for just talking to lonely people on the telephone. They say; We'll set you up for free so you can run your own business or you can work for us, just call ....

I answered an advertisement in one of our local newspapers on April 30, 2002. Sounded great, work from home and get paid for just talking to people on the telephone. You phone the toll free 1-800 or the 1-888 number and you get a taped message, "Hi, I'm David Bronstein from the late night TV Show "Talking for Dollars" and you can get paid for staying at home and just talking to lonely people about anything!" and so it goes on and on.

Apparently you can then do one of two things:

#1) Call this number and become your own boss within just minutes and we give you the system free, you can even make $10 from the software manufacturer, etc. ==OR==

#2) You can work for us, just fax your resume to this number (416) area code (Toronto, ON) and we'll get back to you. Well, doh, I called the other number (although leery) and it WAS a 1-900 number. They don't say anything about you being charged for the call (if they did, the guy talked so flipping fast you couldn't understand or hear it!) This "David Bronstein" character talks about 175 miles per minute about how rich you're going to become by talking to lonely people and then you can't really understand anything he says.

All I heard within the first few seconds was something like 18 and over and then he started rattling off one website after another, after another, after another and I got choked and hung up. The call seemed like it was only a few seconds when in fact it was 2 minutes. When I hung up I thought that was the end of it. Not so! I just got a phone bill with a charge of $50.00 (that's not a misprint!) for 2 minutes.

The 1-900-451-5964 number is Web Marketing International and the service provider for them is Bearich Film Productions Incorporated. After speaking with my telephone company and explaining the scam (they agreed) they were gracious enough to reverse the charges and then gave me the 1-800-993-9457 toll free "Customer Service" number to complain to the company.

Of course when I called, all I got was a recorded message stating that I had to leave a name and number and THEY would call ME back - bullcrap! I have searched and searched and phoned everywhere trying to get information on this company, individual, etc. and have found absolutely nothing. Beware everyone, whoever is responsible for this SCAM is the King of the fast talkers!
