David Coffey Writing Bad Checks in Roy, Clearfield, Ogden Area victimized many consumers Ogden Utah
A person with Bank One Check stock, identified only from copies of the checks which I have obtained, is writing checks on the BO check stock that contains my bank routing/transit number and my account number. My bank has returned the checks: $21.96 to Del Taco in Ray, UT, $15.31 to Wendys in Clearfield, UT and two to 7-11s, Ogden UT ($36.22 and $ 13.80). Another check was just returned by my bank for a little over $ 215.00. I have sent this information to the FBI in Odgen, Bank One in Odgen and the State's Attorney in Salt Lake City per each of their individual requests.
If you are a consumer that has taken a check or is about to take a check written by David Coffey on Bank One check stock, beware: they will be returned by my bank to your bank without payment. My bank is not charging my account for any charges relating to the returned checks; I do not know the policy for your bank. (I have been trying to call the Wells Fargo Banks that the consumers deposited them into, but there were no answers at seventeen (17) branches I called in/around Ray, Clearfield and Ogden.
On the 18th phone number, I finally got a live person (NONE of the other numbers even had a voice mail!) she advised that the banks in Utah were closed today, Thursday, Patriot Day. (Even the 800 number for Wells Fargo tried to connect me, and didn't get any answers; he should have known that some of the branches were closed due to a holiday, but didn't!) If any one reading this knows anything about these checks being written, they should contact the authorities with this information contained here.
I think, Mr. Coffey, or whoever you might be, that the jig just Might Be UP!
