This identical letter was sent to at least 4 confirmed restaurants in cooperstown ny.  Nicoletta's italian Cafe, Alex and Ika's, the Hoffman Lane Bistro, and the Otesaga hotel.  The manager(s) called back the complaint attempting to  resolve and the customer demanded monetary compensation.  Upon further investigation the owner realized the customer claimed to have eaten at all 4 restaurants at the same time on the same date and had the same problem.


Dear Owner/Manager, My family and I recently visited Cooperstown to see relatives as we do a few times a year. During our last visit we came to your Restaurant for dinner. I am usually not a complainer however the experience we had duringour last visit was really bad. When we arrived we were told that it would be about a 15 minute wait to be seated, we were seated 35 minutes later. We then put our food and orders and drink orders in. After 30 minutes our food came however 4 of the 6 meals were wrong. I do not mean cooked wrong, I mean completely different meals. The server hurried back to the kitchen and then returned to say that the kitchen somehow duplicated another check and maid two sets of the same meals. ??? At this point we were already there for 1 hour and 10 minutes so we decided to take the meals that were cooked at our table instead of waiting more time for the kitchen to start to prepare our dinners. After we were finished the server apologized and left our full check. I would have thought that there would have been a manager involved at some point. So at that time, I asked to speak to the owner or manager. 10 minutes went by and nobody returned to our table. Obviously at that point we were very disappointed. We left our cash for the check with zero tip included and left. I even wrote very disappointed and my cell phone number on a piece of paper from my wifes purse and set it with the cash. The Owner or Manager never called. As I mentioned, I am not usually a complainer. I understand things happen sometimes however we were at your restaurant almost two hours and we spent almost 150 dollars and had this experience. Thank you Davis & Maureen Adams 5298 Margaretta Ct.
