David Maus Toyota Sanford - David Maus Toyota of Sanford Florida I was pressured into leasing a car when I did not want to lease it, I am partly Blind and have severe hearing loss I wanted to trade in a vehicle that I leased and bought out and did not want another lease, but because of my poor eyesight and loss of hearing I was put into another lease that I didnot want Sanford, Florida
I was unhappy with the current vehicle that I had i was a lease from Honda which I bought out 2003 Honda Odessy and I was not looking to lease again. I heard that David Maus by his own advertizing was an honest man who would treat me fair. Too bad his dealers and salesmen don't follow his words. I am a totaly disabled veteran who has severe loss of sight and hearing. I was pressured into leasing a new vehicle from David Maus of Sanford Florida and strapped with a payment of $586.45 per month which is a burded I have tried to talk with Mr Michael Pinta by email and he told me to come in and discuss my problem with his Manager. That was a waste of time because they could not help me and denied that I was pressured in the lease. They said I should contact the leasing co. The leasing co. is S.E. Toyota and guess what they said if I gave them anonther $30,000 I could have the car and that would bring the total to $39,000 for a car worth $24,000 and thats my story

Please don't take this as making light of your disabilities, but something just does not make sense.
If you have a severe loss of sight and hearing, how do you have a valid license to drive? If don't have the ability to read an agreement 6 inches in front of your face how are you able to see signs or even other cars on the road.

Contact the bank, or leasing company and DEMAND copies of EVERYTHING (including the credit application) that they received from the Toyota dealership OMMEDIATELY! Make sure that these loan documents (lease documents) are what YOU signed! Pay close attention to the signatures, & make sure there were no ALTERATIONS done to your 'MONTHLY INCOME' and to your 'JOB TITLE' the 'YEARS OF EMPLOYMENT', etc.

Now before I get jumped on, you claim your hearing disability limited your ability to follow what the salesmen was saying. You also don't say it, BUT in the few auto leases I've entered into, in LARGE LETTERING, at the top of the contract, it states, THIS IS A LEASE. Tell me if I'm wrong. Again, back to your disabilities, IF your sight is so poor, that you were unable to read or comprehend, what you were reading, you shouldn't be driving.

You are absolutely right to avoid a FLEASE. In a FLEASE, you get sheared! But lets move forward. Lets assume they pressured you. The final step in the process is for YOU to sign the contract. Who to sign the contract? YOU! If you were not comfortable with getting into a CAR FLEASE, then WHY DID YOU SIGN?????
Lets suppose I'm the judge. You present your case, they present theirs. I ask to see the contract. I see YOUR SIGNATURE indicating YOU AGREE to the terms. "BANG", down goes my gavel and you loose.
I am aware of your disabilities. However, it seems to me you are of sound mind based on the fact you don't want to be FLEASED again. Therefore all those health issues are not a factor here. What is a factor is you not standing up for yourself and saying "NO!" and walking out.
The bottom line is David Maus or any other dealer NEEDS YOU...you don't need them. You are the customer, not the doormat. When a dealer proposes a deal you don't like or don't want then you say NO without regard to the "pressure" they exert.
