I had to buy a discontinued dress from this store because this was the closest store that had it. I asked the Latrisha if it had damage (it did) and she said not to worry; that it would be repaired before being shipped to me. It took me 40 minutes to order it over the phone. I got it 6/13 and it was NOT repaired and missing its' shawl. I immediately called and was put on hold for 2 separate 15 minutes by Ann and then Candace.

The third time I called, I asked for corporate's phone # and suddenly I was afforded assistance. The shawl came 2 days later, but Candace had refused to compensate me for not having had the dress repaired as promised. I spoke with Marion today at corporate and she too was extremely unhelpful. She told me I should have picked up the dress in person, knowing full well that I live in CT and the dress was in MD. I said,"What if the dress had been found in CA? I live in CT. That's ridiculous."

She wouldn't budge and refused to assist me any further. She did suggest that I take it to my local store to be repaired which is 60 miles away round trip (probably $15-20 in gas). This is not the first time I have had the displeasure of having to buy from David's, but as a bridesmaid, I do not have a say in the matter. I should not have been promised repair if in fact, it is not something they do before mailing, as corporate claimed.

I would settle for a 25% discount on top of the sale price to cover my gas and aggravation of having to take it to my "local" store of which I'll have to make two trips to: one to drop off and one to pick up (actually a total of approximately 120 miles).
