When i purchased my car from David Stanley Chevrolet in 2014 they said if I purchased a particuliar program I would get free oil changes for life. They also said I would get free tires for life. Lastly they said I would only get them plus free engines for life if and only if I regularly brought the car to there service center for the oil changes.

Everything was going fine until the car went over 60,000 miles. They said that the oil changes were no longer free. When asked to check the tires they said they would only change the tires if three of tires needed to be changed. Since we had to buy two new tires due to a road hazard they would not replace the other two until three tires needed it.

We brought the car in for service and was told that we would have to pay for the oil change that the program we purchased had run out. When I started to argue with the service representative she told me they were sales programs and that I would have to talk to a sales manager. When I talked with the sales manager he said it was a service issue and I had to talk with the service manager.

When I asked the service manager about why the oil changes were not free I was told that 'free for life' was just terms that they used but in fact you only get fee oil changes until 60,000 miles. they also then stated that 'tires for life' was actually only two sets of tires within the first 100,000 miles and they had never heard of the free engines for life program. He said that these were actually sales programs and that i woul dhave to talk to the sales manager.

So I went back to the sales manager and started the conversation all over again. The sales manager reiterated that the 'for life' was jsut terminology that they used and I had to read the fine print. I said i asked the sales guy three times that I was getting these things for the Life of the car as long as I owned the car and each time the sales rep said yes. At which point the sales manager said it is up to you to read the fine print. Which clearly signafies in my mind that they are know misrepresenting the facts.

I then got sarcstic and said that David Stanley had been investigated by the Attorney General previously for Misleading Advertising to which the sales manager replied 'not for our for life program' which confirms that they had been investigated for other advertised programs.

I would totally recommend to be wary of puchasing a vehicle from them.
