David W. Hammerschmidt bills himself as a Painting and Home Improvement Contractor in Quakertown, PA. He seems very sincere and uses his ex-shop teacher credentials to legitimize the Art of Deceit. He signed a contract for $42,000 worth of home improvements with me, slowly bled all the money from the job over a six month period, claimed family problems and personal illness as the reason he was working only partial days, never finished the contract, and took off when the money was all gone. He never paid my judgment against him either. Watch out if you live in PA or NJ and see his ads! It cost another $28,000 to have a legitimate contractor finish the job and repair the damage he caused. When Dave worked at your home, Maggie, he found other workers' tools all over the house who had walked off the job previously because they had also been subjected to the constant, unmeetable demands you made, your inaccurate bookkeeping methods , and the unwillingness of you to follow the agreed upon terms of the contract in any way..
Yes, you took him to court but you LOST on all of the items and above references in which you state you sued him for...Dave did NOT have to pay you ONE penny for any shoddy work done as stated...You sued him for forty thousand but was awarded none of it.......(after you fired your attorney because you struggle to get along with anyone), and you did not tell the truth when you said you had to hire someone to re- do what Dave had done..The next person you hired did additional work for you only and that also was proved in court...
Dave was told to pay you a total of $1,000 for walking off the job ONLY, before it was finished...... due to your unwillingness to stick to the agreed contract and your constant poor bookkeeping and unreasonable demands...WE made several of the $100 a month payments to you towards the $1,ooo total he owed but it was ME, Mrs H, who stopped making the payments to you AFTER you posted this slanderous article about him..
Take it down and I will personally pay you the balance owed...Which is around $500
He is a good and honest person and this article is biased and not truthful... ..and YOU know that Maggie...
