Do not enroll your children here! The concept is to sell you high prices lessons while paying managers nothing. The claim the management staff has decision making ability in order to put them on salary. Then managers are forced to use personal vehicles for errands without reimbursement while having them work 50+ hours without overtime pay. CA state law says managers make decisions more than 50% of the time, but at Karate Kids it is about 3%.
There are constant "brainwashing" meetings that teach sales staff how to get you to try a "FREE" first class, and once you try it...they expect that you enroll. One corporate manager told staff members to stop YOU at the door if you did not enroll. The costs are extremely high and tuition prices will and have increased 8% every year. Currently, the average monthly tuition can cost up to $250./mo (with well trained "brainwashing", or marketing methods as they call it), in order to get you to enroll.
Ask about turnover, and dont let your kids get attached to a teacher or staff member because the ones that refuse to cave in are fired. PLEASE research your area and dont be fooled by the phony personalities, aquarium, and bright paint jobs....Choose your child's karate school wisely!
