I had an extremely disappointing experience with dbthebox.com. I ordered their so-called "Diamond Box" for 421 AED, expecting some valuable items, possibly an iPhone or at least some kind of useful electronics, as implied by their flashy marketing. What I received instead was a box full of returned goods that, if bought new, would only cost around 312.45 AED! This is an absolute scam.

Here are the items I received:

  1. Wireless Vacuum (Non-Branded) - 74 AED
  2. F-SCODE Kitchen Sink Automatic Cup Washer - 34 AED
  3. P9 Bluetooth Wireless Headset Over-Ear Headphone with Mic (Black) - 24.90 AED
  4. Foldable Portable Kettle | Travel Kettle (600ML) - 59 AED
  5. Projector LED White & Yellow YG301 - 90.55 AED
  6. Detox Bottle - 30 AED
  7. Acarid Remover Portable Rechargeable - 59 AED

Total cost if bought new: 312.45 AED. I paid 421 AED for this box, which is a significant overcharge for the items received.

Upon further inspection of their website, it became clear that their business practices are highly questionable. The site makes grand promises about the value and quality of items in their mystery boxes, but there's no transparency about what you're actually getting. The descriptions are vague, and there are no guarantees or realistic representations of the contents.

Here are a few concerns about the legitimacy of dbthebox.com:

  1. Misleading Advertising: The site heavily implies that you might receive high-value items like iPhones or other electronics in their more expensive boxes. This is clearly not the case based on my experience and likely many others'.

  2. Lack of Transparency: There are no clear details about the items you might receive. The whole premise is built on a gamble, which is fine to an extent, but when the value of the items is significantly lower than the cost, it feels like a rip-off.

  3. Poor Value for Money: The total cost of the items I received was much lower than what I paid. This isn't just a matter of getting a bad deal—it's clear that they are profiting by misleading customers about the potential value.

  4. No Real Customer Support: Trying to get any sort of resolution or refund was a nightmare. Their customer service is unresponsive and unhelpful, which only adds to the suspicion about their business practices.

  5. Questionable Reviews: The positive reviews on their site seem fabricated. Many are overly positive and lack detail, which is a common red flag for fake reviews.

  6. No Business Address: There is no clear business address or contact information available, making it difficult to reach out for support or file a complaint.

Overall, dbthebox.com feels like a scam designed to take advantage of unsuspecting customers. I strongly advise against purchasing anything from this site. Save your money and spend it on something where you know what you're getting. This kind of business should not be allowed to operate and deceive people.
