DealCat.com are notorious Internet scammers. Work all over the net and catch unsuspecting people like me in the guise of an e-bay auction. I won the auction for a 20 Toshiba TV/VCR/DVD. I sent them my money and after six weeks nothing.

I sent follow-ups about where was it and all of a sudden received it-broken. I am an experienced logistics professional and DealCat shipped me an obviously used item that had been dropped on its edge and cracked the case-no obvious damage to the outside packing.

When I pointed this out they said the item had been inspected before shipped and there was no way it could have been sent out this way. I paid an additional $10 for insurance (on top of the outrageous $75 freight they charge) so I felt I was covered.

DealCat has refused to refund my money saying only that they will file a claim and it will take up to three months to process. Given all the negative feedback on this company I suspect they may be using me to commit insurance fraud.

I would say they are a complete Internet rip off scam and others should be aware of them.
