Complaint Review: Dean Barrat

 Dean Barrat continues to ignore my texts with his Mother copied in all of them. He will not respond about the $160 deposit that was due last Saturday am. My Father and U have called him several times only to be hung up on once he realizes it is us and we ask where the money is. Dean doesn’t Notify me when he cannot make the payment. Instead he ignores my texts and phone calls and tries to hide. He ignores his Mother asking him tk take care of this.

She has asked this of him since he asked me to call her so she Could help because I did not want to be in contact with him any longer since he lied and made up stories constantly. His own mother concerned that he was lying and making up stories. He doesn’t want me to do reports on Rip-off Which I agreed to in the past as long as he did not miss a payment and would not lie or tell any more stories. Dean could not seem to stop from doing that. It has been almost 5 years this loan was supposed to be for two weeks. Dean doesn’t care that he owes a single mother with two children money. Dean has no children of his own and is a single man and still cannot pay back a single mother of two children.

He lied to mutual friends who he reached out to and said this would be taken cate of also. That was three years ago he made that promise. Dean can text me and tell me to tell people not to text him when I have had nobody text him. He even sent a screenshot where it says I didn’t tell them I went to Bellevue High School with Dean Barrat. I have friends who have seen first hand how he acts and lies. I told him all I want is my money and then nothing to do with him.

I would never have him around my family or friends after he has lied and made up so many stories to get out of giving me the money that’s due and he didn’t have.

Dean Barrett continues to ignore me and not respond to where the deposit is that he did not make for $160 this past Saturday. It was due by Saturday a.m. It is now Monday evening September 28, 2020 and I still have gotten no response from Dean he still continues to ignore my text with his mom copied on it and will not respond where the deposit is that he did not make for $160 from the $5000 loan. I have endured almost 5 years of lies and stories and empty promises by Dean Barrett.

He has gone as far as to tell me he made deposits which there was no deposits made. He has told me he was getting loans, money from his step Grandfather, his friends who had stores that were going to get money from their tils The worst lie was when he lied and told me that he was getting over $100,000 from his grandmother. He told me this lie for over eight months asking me to wait for the money.

Dean continues to ignore me a single mom with two kids and will not return my money that was borrowed five years ago almost that was for two weeks. He doesn’t care what he does. He’s had shown that he has no respect over and over.

 Dean Barrat continues to lie to me and tell me I will receive a deposit for a certain amount and then doesn’t make the payment when it’s due and lies and makes up stories. Dean continues to ignore my texts with his mother copied on all of the texts. I have asked where the $160 deposit that I was to receive by Sat am was.never received the payment. Last week Dean didn’t send the payment on Sat am and ignored me when I asked where it was. He claims that he is waiting on a deposit. I have heard this many times before. Dean can text me about people who are sending him messages about what he has done to me since her lied to other people also about when I would get the money back.

He lied to a Mutual friend of ours three years ago and told me he was going to take care of this loan Dean Barrett still has not taken care of this loan. He continues to make up stories and not give me the remaining amount as I was told I would receive after he decided to call me a pig because I asked where the money was and he was late on another payment and I never received it. Dean will Not take any accountability for his actions. I told him if I didn’t receive the payment for $160 I would do a report until the loan was paid in full.

 It’s been another week with no remaining balance from Dean Barrett that is now past due on the $5000 loan. This has been going on since December 2015. Dean Barrat originally told me he would pay me back in two weeks. I have allowed payments and he didn’t make them and pay off the loan. He only lied and make up stories. It has been four months now since he told my father and I in a text that he was going to have a lawyer represent him and he would contact us.

Today my father and I called him and he did not answer. When he called back and was told he was on speaker he tried to tell me that he would not make a payment until I stopped doing reports. He has use this excuse many times in the past. He was given the benefit of the doubt many times only to show us that he was lying once again. The problem is he is passed due with the remaining amount now. He did not make payments for weeks.

He ignored texts and calls during this time. I did not do a Ripoff report every week as I told him I would if he missed a payment when I agreed to the payment plan. He continues to ignore the question where my remaining amount is. I continue to text him with his mother also on the text feed as she requested. She also tried the help my father and I with dealing with her son. He told his mother it would be taken care of and it still has not been taken care of. As I was writing this Dean texted me in the feed with his mother included saying.. Like I said we will go before a judge you have been paid alll the principle.

You are making lies and drama so let a judge decide if there is a balance. Wait you have been paid back principal. He said this same thing to my father and I in a text 4 months ago and he told us we would hear from his lawyer number 9 or 10. He has done this and said this many times. There is also other reports done on Dean Barrat in this website. Another woman Danielle responded to a report that I did saying Dean also has done her wrong.

I Found out about rip off from googling Dean Barrats name on the Internet. Still no contact from any lawyer and he refused to give the name like all the other times he lied. The one time we did talk to a lawyer mr. Burbine we conversed with email to him two or three times and then got a response from him that he was no longer representing Dean Barrett.

 Been another Week of Dean Barrett ignoring me. He does not return calls does not return texts and is still continuing to ignore me. I have texted him several times with his mom copied on the text. He continues to ignore me and not respond where my money is. He has not made a payment in over 14 weeks. He told my father and I in a text that we will be contacted by a lawyer 13 weeks ago. This is lawyer number nine Dean has claimed that he has representing him.

Every time he told me as a lawyer representing him he then a few months later comes back and have some new payment plan idea. Dean Barrett asked a single mom with two children who is also widowed for money and promise to pay it Back within two weeks and it has been over 4 1/2 years of lies and stories and running around to pick up my money from him at Publix/western union since he does not have a bank account to transfer the funds. Always has an excuse. There is three people who have talked about him on this website other then me. He steals.

 Two days ago I received a rebuttal on a report I filed on here. It’s somebody who I do not know. She said she knew exactly what i was talking about and Dean has just tried to get money from her also. It’s in my last report on Ripoff Dean denied knowing her when I texted him once again asking where the past due amount of $1132.60 is. He will not reply about where my money is. He did reply that he doesn’t know who the person is that filed a rebuttal. He then said that’s why I’m taking you to court because of your accusations. Dean has no acredibility to his word. He lies and makes up stories. He has even made up stories about his family and how they were going to give home money. His mom confirmed it was a lie. When I have texted Dean and called and left messages with my father we asked for the name of his lawyer who he said would take over 12 weeks ago. Dean also texted my father this 12 weeks ago. My father called him a liar and told him he’s seen his lies and stores and heard enough. He also lied to my father. Dean brought my father and his mother into this and then tells me his mom doesn’t want to talk to me and blocked me because he doesn’t want her to know what he’s doing. I have still informed her as she has requested. Dean tried to call me 4 times two days ago after the rebuttal was filed. I told him to text or email but he won’t. Told him I won’t talk to him on the phone because I don’t trust him. He will just lie. He has done it over and over for over 4 years. This was supposed to be a two week loan. I also talked to a ex girlfriend of his and have texts with her confirming how Dean acts and what he did to her in the past also. Dean has done me wrong and admitted it. He’s asked me to apologize to mutual friends from high school for his behavior but continued to do the same thing. More lies and stories. There has been one lawyer who I have talked to out of 9 diff times that Dean has claimed his lawyer was taking over only to hear nothing and for Dean to come up with another plan months after he ignored me. He’s dine this over a over.4 1/2 years. He doesn’t care that I am a single mom and have kids to take care of and a son with epilepsy. Dean also claimed he was going to call my sons bio mother to confirm. Never happened. He’s a joke. I have told him I don’t lie or take advantage of people. Last I knew he was in the Tampa area. He’s lived in Lutz, Clearwater and in California. I had papers sent to his address he supplied on the notarized contract he agreed too. He didn’t accept the papers and had ample time given. A copy was sent to Mr. Burbine a lawyer who we contacted who Dean said was representing him. Mr Burbine emailed me back saying he wasn’t representing Dean.  Dean Barrat continues to ignore me and not return my money. Last week with his mom copied on the phone he tried to tell me his Mom blocked me and didn’t want to hear from me. More lies out of his mouth. He then with his mom copied on the text messages asked again for me to send a list of the payments. I have sent this to Dean Barrat several times.

His mom has been also copied when it was sent. When asked where my past due amount of $950 is. He can’t respond and ignores it. He first told me if I didn’t sent the payments again we could go to court. When I send it he still does t make the payments. He is full of lies and excuses. He tried to tell me to stop calling him a liar with his mom copied on the text also because he found that I missed one payment that he had made for $125.

He tried to say that he noticed there was three that were missing and sent me two screenshots of the same payment trying to act like it was two payments I believe because he did not respond when I asked him why he sent the same picture twice. I also asked him how he could lie and make up a story That he was getting $100,000 from his grandmother after he passed away. It was a lie his mom told my father and I after he told us to contact his mother and he contacted my father on his own to try to help him but my father will no longer help him with anything because he lied to my dad several times also.

He continues to lie to his mom and does not take care of the loan. He ignores phone calls and texts messages. Doesn’t Respond to emails. I told him he was acting like a child and making me feel like I am taking care of three children when I am a single mom and have a responsibility for two. Dean is a grown man and refuses to give back a single mother that he borrowed money from that he knew from Bellevue High School from Bellevue Washington. I told him the Rip off reports will continue until I have the remaining balance in full.

Nine weeks ago he told my father and I again that his lawyer will contact us no such thing as happened when I texted with him and his mother I asked him if his lawyer was on vacation? This is the 8 or 9the lawyer he has said he has. There has been one lawyer Mr. Burbine who we contacted and said he was representing Dean. He was supposed to talk to his client Dean Barrett about a payment plan and get back to us, never heard from him. Within two months after contacting Mr. Burbine again he told us he was no longer representing Dean Barrat and to not contact him any longer. He was also sent a list of the payments made to that date.

 Dean Barrat who I went to high school with at Bellevue High in Washington State asked me to barrow money. I haven’t seen him since either. He knew I sold my house and moved since my husband passed away. He promised he would pay me back the money in two weeks. It’s now been over 4 1/2 years. He has lied and made up several stories. His mom confirmed that the lie that he was receiving over $100,000 from his grandmother who passed away was not true.

He told me that story for months three years ago. Since then he had me contact his mother after U told him I would take him to court if he didn’t pay back the money and that I didn’t want to Be in contact with somebody with such a character that Dean Barrat displays. Dean asked a single mother for money so he could pay bills he told me. I found this website when I googled his name over three years ago. Dean has told me he would have several lawyers contact me after he saw I did a report on here. I told him I would continue the report until the payments were made that he then asked for.

Been over the last 3 1/2 years has made a payment once in a while with sometimes going for months without talking to me ignoring my texts and my voicemails. He has tried to have my father help him a few times and my father recently told him to not call him any longer but he does not want anything to do with him and for him to man up and quit acting like a coward. He told him he had seen enough lies. Dean promised his mother he would take care of this and he hasn’t. His mother has apologized to my father and I for how her son acts. We have told her we don’t blame her.

Dean is a grown man who makes his own decisions. He is the one who is ignoring this and not giving me my money back. He is now ignoring my texts, phone calls, and emails. He told me 5-6 weeks ago his lawyer would contact me since I did another report on rip off and told him I would hold him accountable so he would not do this to somebody else. Because we went to high school together we know a lot of the same people and Dean doesn’t want anyone to know what he’s done or how he’s treating me and how he is not giving me my money back. He doesn’t want anybody to know the lies he has told how he hasn’t made the deposits or the payments.

This was a loan for two weeks and it’s been over 4 1/2 years. I believe Dean tried to scam me out of the money and had no intention to pay it back. If he did why has he still not paid the loan off and is now hiding and ignoring me. He has no respect for a single mother. He sure didn’t have a problem asking a single mother for money. I have told him it’s like I have three children not two and I am paying his bills. Dean is now -$800 past due on payments. Last Place I knew where he was was in the Tallahassee, Lutz, Clearwater area. He was a used car salesman and also said he did freelance work.

Dean Barrat continues to lie, steal and not return a debt It has been four weeks since I have received a payment from Dean for only $150 a week I agree to this amount even though when the money was given to him it was given to him in much greater amounts. He continues to ignore phone calls text messages and emails. He has told me he has another lawyer that would be lawyer number nine or 10 I lost count.

I told him three weeks ago to have his lawyer contact me since he wasn’t going to be making the payments as he said because I continue to do reports on rip off because he is late or miss his payments. I still have not heard from his lawyer and I have heard nothing about how Dean intends to get me the rest of the debt that is owed. This is a single man last time I knew lived in the Tampa Clearwater area and worked as a used car salesman.

He also told me he did some kind of financing for companies. I am a single mother who lost my husband and I have two children to take care of Dean continues to not give me back my money when he knows I have responsibilities instead it’s like I have a third child because I am paying for his responsibilities since he has yet to return any money. I told him reports will start on a daily basis on July 8 if I do not receive my funds that is still owed.

I told him if he had a lawyer to have his lawyer contact me last week never happened. I will not stop with the report this time as I nicely agreed to with his last lawyer Mr. Burbine who told me that he was not representing him anymore and not to contact him again.

 Dean Barrat is now -$300 with his payments. He is two weeks behind from his newest plan to make payments. A week ago he told me he was going to take me to court because I did a rip off report because he was late. I have asked him for the name of his lawyer, I have asked him if I will be served, I have asked him if this will be handled in court, I have asked him if he plans to make the payments. I get no response. When we call he sends a text response saying sorry I can’t talk now.

When I ask when he can talk and respond about the payments or my questions I get no response. This will be the ninth or the 10th lawyer Dean has told me he would see me in court with. He does this every time he is late with a payment. He recently changed the payday to Monday because he got his money in his account Monday he texted me. Then he asked if he could make the payment Tuesday morning next. When he could not do it on Monday any longer. Next thing you know the Tuesday morning deposits don’t happen and he tries to tell me he has until the end of the day. Then I still get no deposit of $150 for the week.

Dean Barrett has changed the price for the weekly payments, Dean Barrett has changed the date and day of the week several times, Dean Barrett has changed the way I will receive it several times, Dean Barrett has come up with several stories and lies when I will get the money, Dean Barrat has said he is going to get a loan to pay the whole thing off and he’s just waiting for it to hit his account, and that never happens either. When contacting the last lawyer Mr. Burbine he told me he was no longer representing Dean Barrett and to not contact him again. Dean Barrat tasked a single mom for a loan 4 1/2 years ago. It was supposed to be for two weeks at the most.

He doesn’t care that I have a child that needs medication for a illness. He knows I have bills and am responsible for two kids. He still Doesn’t give me my money back. I feel like I have another child I’m paying for who’s almost 46 with no children and hit married. Dean is more worried about what people will say or think if they read what he is doing to me. I told him I would continue the reports until he pays the debt off now.

 Dean Barrat missed three payment for this week. I called him this am and he answered and started yelling not talking into the phone. We couldn’t even understand him. All we heard was he wanted a itemized list if payments he made. I have provided that several times for Dean. Dean texted my father And when he texted him told him the amount owed was $1300 and he would take me to court if I did a report on rip off.

My father told him in so many words he doesn’t care what he has to say and stop acting like a loser. He told him he had heard enough lies over all the years and he has seen it all. We still continue to inform his mom what is going on as I was asked to. Dean was sent an itemize list this morning with the payments and I still have not received a Zelle payment from him. He would also have copies of the payments he does or should also have receipts from when he makes a payment.

I don’t know if he doesn’t have the money again so this is another excuse and a way to stall like he has done in the past with many lies and stories he has told over the last 4 1/2 years. He Will not make the payments as promised so I continue to do reports on rip off as I told him I would.

 Dean Barrat once again didn’t make the payment for today. Dean Barrat has changed the weekly amount several times. He has changed the day I receive the money several times also. Dean Barrat can’t even do $150 (his last amount requested)a week and he’s a grown man with no kids. He didn’t have a problem being a grown man asking a single mom with two kids to give him money only for him to not return it. As a single parent I have bills to pay. He doesn’t seem to care.

It blows me away he continues to make excuses on payments. When asked where the payment was today he told me he was going to take me to court because I am asking for my money that he will not return. He has been told several times to be honest with me and to contact me if he cannot make the payment and he doesn’t do that. I have bills to pay.

 Dean Barrat continues to miss payments. He is now 9 payments behind on payments that he hasn’t made up and a payment yesterday for $150 he missed. He told me he could only do $15o a week. Since we asked where the missing payments Were from when he claimed he was getting a private loan and the money was deposited into his account and he was just waiting for it to post. I never saw that money so obviously there was never any loan amount that was deposited at least nothing that went to me.

Just another story and another time I was told he was getting another loan. In the past and has ignored me for weeks and then he comes up with a new plan how he’s going to make the payments and he just expects everybody to forget about the missed payments. Last week when I asked where the missed payments were and asked about the loan again he then texted my father and told him I would have to take him to court for the remaining $1300 because I was blackmailing him since I was doing reports on rip off because he will not give me the money on the missing payments.

My father told him to not bother him anymore and stop acting like a loser. We did not hear from him after that. He now refuses to respond to me when I text him and ask him where the payment was for yesterday for $150. his mother is copied on all texts. She has tried to help in the past with her sion and trying to get him to pay back the money.

 Dean Barrat still owes me money and will not give me remaining amount in full. He wants payments and to be able to make them whenever he likes. When he was asked for a bigger payment since he didn’t make a payment for weeks and lies about getting a private loan. I never saw money from that. That was supposed to take care of the remaining amount. Because if the non payments for weeks it caused financial hardships for me again.

Now I am told that I won’t receive payments again because I asked for a bigger amount. Dean has changed things so many times stalling and making excuses. Dean had no problem having my daughter, father and I sit in a car parking lot waiting for him to make a deposit that he said he was on his way to do and would be there shortly. That deposit never happened. It was another lie. He admitted to lying about it also. I have asked him to get my money in full because I don’t want to be in contact with him. He hasn’t shown me he is a good person or can be trusted. He has shown me the complete opposite.

 It has been another week. No deposit of $450 that I was told I would have a week ago 4/24/20 still. Still no responses from Dean on this loan he said he got and I would receive the remaining balance from. When asked he ignored the question. Still no word either from his lawyer he says he now has representing him again.

 I got a message back from Dean this am after I told him I did a report and asked where my money was? He still couldn’t respond about the money. His words to me were...After the malicious attack on me last night and your attitude I have been advised that my legal counsel will handle this and we will go to court. I told him to have me served. He can’t make the remaining payments or answer where the private loan is that he said I would have the remaining money from weeks ago. Dean Barrat will respond after I do a Rip-off update but won’t answer where my money is still.

 In November 2019 Dean had us contact Mr. Burbine a lawyer who was going to represent Dean and oversee payments from Dean since I didn’t trust him and told him I no longer wanted to work with him. I was and am sick and tired of all the lies and stories and times he would tell me he would make deposits and he would not do it. I would get I promise, just trust me. We contacted Mr. Burbine and he responded to us.

He told us he was going to talk to his client about setting up a payment program and then we never heard back from him(Nov/Dec 2019). So we contacted Mr. Burbine again in Jan 2020 and he told us he was no longer representing Dean Barrett. So then we contacted Dean Barrett and he ignored me for close to six weeks on payments again and would not respond at all. When I finally got in contact with Dean he promised he would make the payments and would not miss a payment. He said prob two more payments would be made because he was getting a private loan(another lie)and would have the remaining amount since he didn’t have a lawyer anymore.

When we asked where the loan is that he said he was getting over two months ago after he didn’t have his lawyer anymore representing him. He ignores the question. We have asked several times. He was caught in another lie there has been no money received as he said from this loan he claimed. He couldn’t even provide any proof that he was getting a loan. We knew then it was another lie. Same thing happened all the other times he lied also. Dean promised to make a minimum of $150 a week which is nothing(he didn’t do that).

Also whenever dDean received any money from me it was deposited into his act he had at Bank of America. He made me go pick up the payments from a Western Union every single time since he isn’t able to write a check or deposit money into my act he says. He says he can’t send cash through an app either. He has told me he has to wait for a ride to go to the bank, that he’s having an emergency, that he’s waiting for it to hit his bank act...etc. So many excuses and stories. But yet he can’t do a transfer or deposit( odd since he says he’s waiting for the private loan to hit his bank act in a text. He would rather make me run around collecting my money and make my child have to go with me.

He lied to me recently having me sit and wait in the parking lot with my daughter and father for one hour for him to make the deposit at the Western Union(20 min drive to pick up my money) it was another lie. No deposit was made he wasn’t on his way like he said. More lies. He knew we were sitting there and still texted lies that to trust him he would be their shortly he was on his way. We sat there for no reason for a hour. He has owed this money for over four years and it was a loan for two weeks only. He knows I have hardships and I have two children I am a single mother and a widow and he does not care what he does.

He pulled his mother and my father into this situation to help because I was tired of dealing with someone who lies. He only lied to his own mom and my father. He told them he would take care of this and he did no such thing. I believe there has been 8 loans he said he was getting now. There has been 6 lawyers that that he said would contact us or take over. He tried the start ignoring us again about the money since I copy his mother on all the texts as she asked to be informed.

When we called Dean and blocked the call he answered(sat or sun April 25 or 26th yesterday or the day before) He then texted back with his mom copied that I would have a deposit of $450 today on Monday he said. No deposit was made again today on Monday. The last time he told me to stop making the reports on Ripoff to my father and I on the phone he said it was ruining it for him with dating that they do a background check and see this.

I told him too bad it’s true what he’s doing. I guess he has the money to go on dates but not pay back a single widow with two children. When he made that comment to my father and I it showed how selfish he is. I have a house and children and responsibilities for them as their only parent. He is a single person and still can’t do whats right and pay back a mother who he asked for money over 4 years ago. Told him I would continue to do updates until this is paid in full now.

 Lawyer #8 who Dean hired sent an email beginning of December 2019 telling me that Dean wanted to handle this civilly. He told me that Dean was willing to pay the remainder $3100 but Dean wanted the comments to come down off of Ripoff. We told his lawyer I would stop with the comments if his client took care of his debt and stopped lying and playing games with a single mom and widower with two children.

We waited over a month and got no responses from Dean it his lawyer. Certified papers were sent to Dean and papers were also sent to his lawyer. Papers were returned from Dean as he didn’t accept papers at the address provided. There was no word from Dean or his lawyer. After getting in contact with Deans lawyer Todd Burbine I was told by Mr. Burbine that he isn’t representing Dean Barrat.

Dean Barrat doesn’t want people to know how he acts and treats people. He acts like he’s this really nice guy. He has made up so many stories about how he was going to get me the money. His own mother even tried to help but he lied to her also. Promised her he would take care of this and stop running from this debt.

I am now doing what I need to locate him. Last I knew he was a used car salesman working in the Tallahassee area. He has lived in Clearwater and Lutz Florida I believe also. The last thing I think he told me was that he was doing some freelance work. I will continue to do updates until I receive payments.

 No response from lawyer #8. Day 4. Doing an update as I told Dean I would do every Friday until the debt was paid back. Won’t listen to him anymore or wait because he lies nonstop and doesn’t keep to what he says about not being late and making the agreed payments. I agreed to Not do reports if he made the payments on time or didn’t lie and told me when he didn’t have it. I kept my word and gave him two extra weeks. Still ignored me about where my money was when I asked. Still ignored me when I asked where the deposit was that he said he was going to make. He just didn’t respond. Tried every way to get in touch with Dean and he wouldn’t respond about my money. He only would respond after I did a report on him but NOTHING about my money. He would ignore the questions and only care about Ripoff or me informing his mother per her request about what he is and was doing.

 Dean Barrat Will not respond about where my money is. I did not receive a payment yesterday for 550 as I was told I would receive on Monday because he could not do anything until then. He then said I am not giving you the money and will stop now because you know I did another report on rip off.

He was warned that if I did not see the payment by 12 o’clock noon that he was two weeks late on that I would do a report on rip off and will no longer wait because he continues to lie and not give me back my money. The agreement was he would make payments and I would stop the reports on rip off.

He did not make the payments and I will not stop the reports and rip off until I see my money. I told him have His lawyer call me it was supposed to call me two weeks ago before he called me and told me he was going to start making the payments once again and did not follow through again.

Now it is two weeks later it was still no payment. He doesn’t care that my son is in the hospital in sick and will not respond to where my money is he only responds to you if I talk to his mother asked me to talk to her and let her know what’s going on and to the fact that I am doing a report on rip off because he doesn’t want me to know his lawyer call me he was supposed to call me two weeks ago before he called me and told me he was going to start making the payments once again and did not follow through again.

Now it is two weeks later it was still no payment. He doesn’t care that my son is in the hospital and sick and will not respond to where my money is he only responds to if I talk to his mother asked me to talk to her and let her know what’s going on and to the fact that I am doing reports on rip off because he doesn’t want People to know.

I told him to have his lawyer contact me that he told me he would contact me two weeks ago before he came up another plan. I will continue to do reports every week until I get my money or hear from his lawyer with the payment plan. I told him he is not my child and I have children to take care of so to stop acting like one and give me back my money that was supposed to be returned in two weeks and it has been almost 4 years in another two weeks

 Dean Barrat continues to lie to me and not make the payments that he promised he would start making payments two weeks ago. He told me two day prior to calling with a new plan that his lawyer would contact me and it never happened again that was the 7th lawyer he said he had.

He contacted me instead of having his lawyer contact me like he told me. Instead he came up with a new plan that he was going to make payments of $350 every Friday and $100 in between on the off weeks if possible.

I agreed he did not make the agreed payment for $350 on the Friday that he promised he would he then contacted me and told me that I would be getting another $200 on top of the $350 payment that he had promised that Friday. Last week all week it was a different day that he was going to get the money first he said he had to go to the bank on Monday and I reminded him the banks were closed on Monday.

He said he would go Tuesday morning then Tuesday came and went. He even texted me that he was standing in line at the bank. I was supposed to receive $550 last Friday, November 15, 2019. Then the weekend came and he told me if I did another report on him on rip off which I had done last Friday because he did not give me the money once again and lied and I waited two weeks.

He wants to not pay me and not make the payments but yet he doesn’t want me to tell people what he’s doing. He has no accountability and I will hold him accountable and continue with the reports until he starts making the payments.

I have told him I have a son that is sick and needs medical help he still refuses to give me money so I can help my son. He’s a grown man living off of a single woman’s money that she gave him I would assume in the last four years he has made some money to where he could be making payments on a regular basis but has done no such thing.

 Dean Barrett who lives in Clearwater Fl. Continues to lie and not return my money. Two weeks ago he called and texted me, and apologized. He promised he was going to start making payments. He said he was contracted out by a company and would be paid on Mondays.

He said he would give me $350 every other week and $100 in between if he could. He has not made a payment for the agreed amount of $350. He told me he had to go to the bank. Then he told me he was at bank in the line to cash the check ( tues or Wed) and then would send the money after the bank. I am still waiting for the first agreed payment amount that I didn’t receive.

He told me it would be a couple of days last week....then he was going to do it on Saturday.....then he said Monday and I reminded him the banks were closed on Monday.....so he said I would have the money Tuesday a.m. It is now Friday and I still do not have the money.

When we called him he does not answer the phone. I have called him several different days and he does not answer the phone.he told me I would have the remaining amount earlier this week and the $350 for this week today Friday Nov 15, 2019. I have texted him on several different days and he will not respond to me about where my money is.

Or if I would get it in Friday and about the late amount. I told him if I did not receive an answer from him if he would be making a deposit for the amount of $550 today this am that he owes that I would be doing a report on rip off. We had an agreement that if he made the payments I would not do reports on rip off.

He has not followed through or done the agreed amount that he promised two weeks ago. He continues to lie and make up stories and can respond to me about doing a report on rip off ( saying he will stop if I do a report, he hasn’t even started on the agreed payment amount or followed through. Dean can respond to me saying...I can’t talk now if I call him. But he cannot respond or text back to the question do you have my money? yes or no?

He plays games and lies and then doesn’t want anybody to know what kind of person he shows me that he is. He is a liar and a con. He talks to me like I’m a Business deal and he’s trying to work a deal. I’m assuming that comes from him selling used cars in the past. He tells me I can trust him and says Please it will be done and then it isn’t done. No deposit.

I told him I have a sick son who needs medication and to give me my money back because he is a grown man and should be able to pay his own bills and take care of himself. Instead of him giving me my money back he uses it for other things I am assuming.

It has been for years in a couple weeks. He will tell any lie just like when his grandmother passed away he told me he was getting over $100,000 and I would see the money from that. I waited for months for that because he said it was in probate and even sent me a copy of a piece of paper showing that it was in probate.

He tries to make you feel bad for him. But he was never getting any money his mother confirmed that to my father and I on the phone and said he was never getting any money. I told him I will continue to do updates until I start receiving payments on a regular basis because he has shown me I cannot trust him over and over again.

 Dean Barrat Continues to lie to me or telling me funds will be available at the bank and I will get the money after the funds are available. It has been five weeks since he told me there was a hold on the check and I would get funds from that when it was released.

Then last week he told me he was working on something and I would have funds on Tuesday because the bank was closed on Monday. I’ve heard that story before too. Tuesday came and went and I never received funds by noon on Tuesday Oct 15th by noon as he claimed I would. When he saw my last report he once again told me he was going to take me to court for what I put on here because he doesn’t want people to know what he does to people.

I found another 2 reports done on here also on him. According to the report he didn’t return money to someone else. Dean told me a week ago he had hired another lawyer which would be his seventh lawyer who he told me would contacted on this last Friday. That never happened either. Last week when I texted Dean asking him where my money was and telling him that I needed the money so I could help my son with medical expenses.

He then responds that he is not my son and I only have one child. Apparently if you have a stepson and your husband dies you’re not responsible for taking care of that child according to Dean because he is not my child. These are the kind of responses that I would get and do get from him instead of answering me where my money is that he refuses to give back that he has had for almost 4 years and was only supposed to have it for two weeks when he asked me for money to pay his bills.

It’s like I have another child that I am paying for because Dean Barrat will not return my money to me so I can take care of my children. He is stealing from a single mother and two small children. He has lied about his family and getting money from them also. More lies that his own mother confirmed to my father and I.

I told him if he can’t A loan or my money then I will ask the courts to garnish his paychecks so I will get my money back since he’s not responding or showing any responsibility or lack of maturity that he has intentions to pay off his debt. He has shown the complete opposite with lie a free lie and no deposits. There is a bank 10 min from his house that he could make deposits at and he chooses not to do that.

 Dean Barrett Continue to not give me my money back that he has. He continues to lie and tell me I will receive money from him and then it never happens. Last week on Friday he was supposed to give me money again.

He then tells me I need to wait until Tuesday because the banks are closed on Monday. It is now Tuesday and I was supposed to receive the money by 12 noon today and it did not happen. Once again no phone call no text no response back from Dean where my money is when I have asked several times. He avoids my phone calls.

He is a narcissist who will tell any lie. He has money from a single mom who has two kids to take care if and will not return the money I helped him out with since he said he was in a bad spot and need money for rent and bills. Even made his car payment for him. It was lok. having another child to take care of.

The child is just 45 and lies and doesn’t return things that doesn’t belong to him.

 Dean Barrett continues to ignore me on where the 5 missed payments are since he asked if I would let him do $100 every Friday since he couldn’t do what he offered the month before. Dean has had numerous offers I er the last four years just Ignoring the fact that he has my money and won’t return it. It was a two week loan.

It almost been four years. He has told me that 6 lawyers would contact me and take over. More stories never happens and he refuses to give a lawyers name. The one he did give I contacted and he told me he wasn’t representing him that he called and made an appointment and then cancelled it.

He recently told me he would let me know and he had a plan. Then the next day he said that afternoon he would know. Now Friday has turned into Tuesday next week. He gives one story and then anther stir when he doesn’t follow through every time. He pulled his mom into this and she tried to help me get her son to pay me back and even spoke to my father about it also.

Didn’t make a difference. He doesn’t care about anything but himself. I have two kids. He is a single man. Asked a single mom for money.

 It is now September 30, 2019 Dean Barrett is still ignoring me and did not make his payments he continues to not return phone calls this weekend after being late with another payment. or messages and is ignoring that he has my money and is not returning it.

He continues to lie and not follow through and make payments when he tries to change the payment plan over and over again. Lowering the amount each time. He is not making a weekly payment of $100 as promised every Friday.

Whenever Friday rolls around he usually tells me he can’t get it done till Monday because they have a hold on his check. Then he has a problem with transferring funds or sending money through two apps that he asked me to download.

He is stealing and lies and does not follow through, make payments, or notify me when he’s not going to make a payment. This loan was a two week loan and it is almost been four years. Dean has made a total of 10 payments in the almost 4 years.

 Ideal Barrat missed his payment once again for $100. Dean is. Is two weeks late again with two payments. This has happened several times. Dean has made 10 payments in almost a four year period. This loan took place in 2015. It was supposed to be for two weeks.

Dean will make one or two payments so he can say he’s taking care of the loan. He’s forgetting the loan was for two weeks and he’s turned it into four years like I am a bank. I have asked him to get a loan he was unable to do so. I have asked him to borrow money from friends or family but that doesn’t work either.

He now claims again that he will have a lawyer take over. He has said this with four other lawyers. The first lawyer was disbarred also before he said he was representing him. Dean ignores me when I ask where my money is. He just won’t respond about it but will respond when he sees I did a report.

He has lied to my father and a friend that we went to high school with. He wants people to think he’s taking care of this loan. He knows I have children to take care of and he doesn’t care. I feel like I have another child I am paying for right now. He’s taking away from my children.

 Dean Barrat who resides in Florida in the Tallahassee/Clearwater area. He has been a car used car salesman. He portrays himself in a business manor and tried to work deals. He continues to do this to me with a loan that is unpaid.

Dean owed me $5000 and hasn’t even paid half of it back. It has been almost 4 years now this loan took place in December 2015. The loan was only supposed to be for two weeks. Dean was supposed to be getting money from his boss once he got his tax return and I was supposed to get the money out of that, then I got stories that he was getting it from from friends tills from stores he said he owned.

He has given me such stories as he was borrowing the money from his step grandfather, he was borrowing the money from his mother, he was borrowing the money from his boss at work and getting a draw, that he was getting over $100,000 when his grandmother passed away ( he went with that story for over 8 months tried to make me feel bad for him...

It worked for a little bit until his mother told my father that it was a lie and he never was getting $5000 or any money as far as she knew), that he was selling his car, that he had a big check coming and that’s all he was going to tell me, that he’s working a deal and he’s got something in the works.

I could go on with the excuses and stories that I have been given by Dean Barrett He continues to change the amount on what he can give me. Then he can’t even make the $100 amount. He likes to call and tell me that he’s got something in the works and just give him time and he’s getting a big amount coming, When I call and text him he does not respond when I ask him questions about where the kk way is that he promised and is late with again.

Dean also will not respond about a hold he told me his bank put on a check 10 weeks ago and I was supposed to get $500 out of that never saw that money either. I have had to go and pick up the money from him Western Union.

I told him I would not except Western Union the last time because there is a bank 10 minutes from his house. He does whatever possible to make excuses to not make the payments and then expect me to run around to get my money and drag my daughter with me. It’s his responsibility to get the money back to me.

I downloaded two apps so he could send money that way and now he’s unable to do that. He is just lying and making up stories. He has had so Many chances and opportunities to get this taken care of. He even tried to call my father a second time after he lied to him the first time and play games with him and my father try to help with providing a bank account so he can deposit the money into that since there has been so many banking problems with getting the funds from Dean.

This is somebody who I went to Bellevue high school with and knew and when I moved to Florida we connected with him and he took advantage of me and took money from a single mother and promised to pay it back in two weeks and has neglected to do that as it is almost 4 years later now.

He has no dependence to take care of no children and obviously does not care that I do have children to take care of and provide for because he is keeping things from them by not returning my money. From the first report I did a year after this started in 2015 until now has been the same lies, excuses, and no deposits 85% of the time.

When I googled Dean Barrat’s name I found two previous reports done on him on this website. Both also claimed money was lent and not paid back.

 Dean Barrat continue to lie and not keep to the notarized contract that he signed promising that he would pay back $5000. He hasn’t kept to his word on making a payment. Feb 21.2019 was the last time I got a payment from Dean. He has paid only a lil over 1000.00.

He was supposed to make payments every week and then it was every two weeks. He will ignore me for weeks after telling me he’s going to make a payment. Now he’s trying to wheel and deal with me and telling me he will give me $2000 now and that will be the last payment.

He has ruined my credit with a car payment of his on a credit card that he never gave me the money back in the full $400 payment made. He promised me he would in a few weeks via text and that was months ago. He shows no good faith and just ignores calls and texts about the remaining balance and plays games with trying to change the amount from what he signed on a notarized contract mailed to me.

He has lied to my father, his mother who tried to help after he told me to call her , mutual friends that we had from high school that he texted ( over 2 years ago) he was going to take care of it and he wasn’t a bad person and he continues to lie to me on a regular basis.

He won’t tell me where he works to have him served. The last car used dealership he worked at that I contacted told me he no longer works for them.

 Dean Barrat continues to not pay back money that was loaned to him for a two week period that occurred in 2015. He continues to ignore the contract that he agreed to. He ignores contact made to him when asking where the money is. Last I knew he was still a used car salesmen in Florida. He has given many stories and told lies to more then a few people who know that he owes this money also. He asked a single widowed mom with two kids to take care of for the money also. He comes up with crazy stories on how he is getting the money and to trust him. He lied to my father and called and asked him in his own to help him and then he turned around and played games with him also. He involved his mother who also has said she can’t believe her son is acting like this and is embarrassed by his behavior. He doesn’t care how he affects people as long as he gets what he wants. He has told me several times that he was going to have his lawyer call me and then when he sees a report done here he claims that he’s going to take me to court for posting things that are not true because he’s embarrassed. He continues to show and display the same behavior though. He is a con and uses people doesn’t matter if he knew them or not just like what he continues to do to me.

 I have continued to offer different solutions for Dean Barrat to pay back this loan that first took place in Dec 2015. I went to high school with him. I just sold my home and mi Ed since my husband passed away. I moved closer to my parents with my young daughter. He knew I sold my home and took advantage of it.

The loan was supposed to be paid back in two weeks originally when he claimed he was getting money back from his boss on something that he said he helped him out with and he owed him money. Never happened. Then the next big story I was given was that he was receiving over 100,000 for his grandmother who passed away.

I waited for him to get that for 8 months and felt horrible for him that he was loosing his grandmother as my grandmother was also sick at the same time. Then that didn’t happen and I wanted to go to court after many, many stories and other lies I was told. Just one excuse after another.

He then talked to my father and lied to him and played games with him after he gave him an act number to deposit the payments in. He failed at doing that too. Then he had me call his mother who was going to help over see it so I wouldn’t take him to court. His mother told my father and I that it was a lie and there was no 100,000 from his grandmother that he claimed he was getting.

She said that was never the case and a lie. So for 8 months he manipulated me and lied with a story about his grandmother . He has told me that he has had 4 different who would contact me so far for doing updates on Ripoff. He says I affected him getting a job by doing these reports.

I wouldn’t want to hire someone like this either. He did this though not me. He could make it right but doesn’t. I wish he would realize he caused this problem for himself. He has continued to tell me he is going to make payments only to not do it again. He lied to mutual friends about what he has done and told them he was going to get this taken care of.

He now blames me for people calling him because they are mad and are standing up for me as they have seen and heard what he has done. He will text me to call him or call my phone and play games. Won’t leave a message and if I ask where my money is I get no response from him. Instead he tells me what he’s doing at the time instead of answering the question and tells me he will call or text later and then doesn’t.

His mother has tried to help and I feel horrible for her that her son acts like this and represents himself like this when he brought her into this and told me to call her over 2 years ago when my father and I both talked to her. She is a lovely woman and person and doesn’t deserve this as I don’t and neither did my father deserve to be lied to when Dean called him and asked him to help with the payments and promised him things also. He is a thief.

He avoids my calls and texts. Told him if he calls me to leave a message as I will not talk to him with out someone else listening or it recorded as I always tell him he’s on speaker and being recorded. Don’t trust him or you will be in my shoes trying to get your money back. It’s horrible that he would do this to a single mother who lost her husband. He has no empathy. He only thinks about himself. It’s been over 3 1/2 years of this now. Was a two week loan in the beginning.

 Dean Barrat continues to avoid me and not give me my money back. Told me over a week ago that his lawyer would contact me after he claimed he tried to do a payment through some payee that wasn’t set up so it couldn’t be done.its now April 24. 2019. This loan originally took place in 12/2015. He asked for Cash app to be set up and was and didn’t make the payment through that. He has told me his lawyer would call me. This is the Fourth lawyer that he has claimed that he has had. He is a car salesman in the Clearwater/Tampa area. Don’t trust him he will probably scam you and take your money and keep it. He will tell you whatever benefits him to get what he wants. The fact that he could do this to someone he knows I would hate to see what he could do to get money from someone he didn’t know. He is not giving me back my money. He still owes close to $4000/$5000. Called (((REDACTED))) in Tampa where he used to work at and they told me he no longer works there for them. He avoids my calls and won’t text back. Told him I wouldn’t talk to him on the phone any longer since he just lies every time I try. Told him to have his lawyer contact me who he said would be calling me about getting the money. It’s will be 4 weeks since he told me he would have this fourth lawyer he had contact he is a thief.

 It’s been two weeks since Dean Barrat told me his 4th lawyer that he said he has will contact me. I was supposed to hear from him last Friday. Dean texted me that he was getting paid last Friday April 12. 2019 and had to pay them first. Never heard from them. Dean is once again ignoring me now that time has gone when he said I would get money again.

Can’t even count how many times he has said this. He won’t tell me what used car dealership he works at in Tallahassee or Clearwater area. He won’t tell me who his lawyer is so we can have court papers sent. He called my phone 10 times starting at 7:40 AM on Saturday morning two of the times he hung up on my answering service. I have told him I do not want to talk to him on the phone and he can text me email me or leave me a message he does none.

He is still stealing from a single mom that he asked for money from to pay his bills and was supposed to return it in two weeks in December of 2015. . It has now been 3 1/2 years. I have received a little over $1000 from him. Which equals out to about a dollar a day at the rate he has going in the past 3.5 Years. He claims he makes good money but can’t pay me back my money.

I feel like he conned me out of money. There is two other reports on him also on this website. If I would’ve known that he did that to other people and according to those two other people it was business transactions for a company he worked for in California I never would’ve helped him. He will act very charming and promise you things and then turn around and lie.

Looks like he takes advantage of friends and people he does business with. He won’t give me my $5000 back in payments that he agreed to do since he didn’t give me the money he back in the two weeks like he originally promised in a notarized contract and is hiding so he cannot be served and keeps on lying.

 Dean Barrat (also spells it Barrett). Still continues to lie and steal my money won’t give it back. It’s been over three years and this was supposed to be a loan for two weeks. Loan first took place in Dec 2015. Dean has promised over and over that he would pay back the money and that he would stop lying and that he was sorry for lying and making up so many stories.

He signed a notarized contract promising to pay me back $5000 and he would make payments to me every week and only ignores me and does not make the payments. He avoids my calls he avoids my texts and ignores me when I ask him where my money is and why he has not made the payment. The only time he responds is if I do a report on rip off because he says I am ruining his name but yet these are all things that he is doing. He texted me on Monday telling me that I would hear from a lawyer by Friday this week and he would handle the remaining amount.

Then he tries to tell me that he was only going to pay me another $1800 because I put things up on rip off. I have received a little over 1000. He claims he made another deposit but can’t send that proof. He lies all the time so I’m sure it’s another lie since I have no record of it. Friday came and went and once again I have not heard from any lawyer of his as he says he has.

He has done this in the past with either three or four lawyers that he has said the same thing about in the past the day would come when the money was due or the day I was supposed to hear from this lawyer he says he had and then he would tell me it was going to happen a different day just like yesterday he texted me only after I asked why I had not heard from the lawyer.

He never informs me of anything and ignores it. Not the way someone should act when they owe a debt and aren't going to be doing what’s they told the person. Yesterday he said I would hear from the lawyer on Friday the 15th of next week and then he responded again telling me I would hear from the lawyer on Friday the 13th next week.

Funny thing is is there is no Friday the 13th or 15th. I asked him to send the name of the lawyer or to have his lawyer reach out to me so I knew it wasn’t another lie that he would be representing him and he did not respond and did nothing of the sort did not get a call from a lawyer or hear from anybody. He has done this exact same thing in the past with telling me that a lawyer would call me and it never happened.

He still continues to ignore my question when I asked him for a correct address since he lied on the notarize contract and does not live there and avoid it and will not give it to me. He does not work at the (((REDACTED))) place called anymore. I called there and was told he no longer works there. He is avoiding me and trying to hide so I can’t have him served.

 Still no payments made from Dean Barrat. He’s now trying to hide from me so he can’t be served. He won’t respond to texts or calls. He will call and let the phone ring once and then hang up. He will text and say " HI " , but won’t respond to anything about where the payments are or when I will receive the agreed payments.

He hung up and acted like he didn’t know who I was since he had someone in his presence and didn’t want them to know. I called from a different number so he answered. He continues to show no respect to me or his mother who also tried to help with getting her son to pay back the loan. Dean called my father in the past and asked if he could make payments to him and just lied and played games with my father when my father texted him to not play games and lie to him and he said he wasn’t and he was going to make the payment to the act number he called and asked my father for.

He just ignored my father after that also. The last place that I know of Dean working at when he signed the notarized contract agreeing to make payments until the loan was paid off in full. He has paid 1004.30 out of 5000 in the last three years. For at least a year I didn’t get anything from him. This loan took place in 2015 and was supposed to be for 2 weeks. He took advantage of a single mom and widow. He has told all sorts of lies. You can read previous updates.

Told him I would do an update every week until it was paid off. Tried to have him served at the address listed on the notarized contract but he doesn’t seem to be there. (((REDACTED))) Tampa, FL (((REDACTED))). I called there and was told he no longer works for them. Please contact me if you have any information on his whereabouts. Trying other avenues also. He also told me he had a lawsuit against his employer and I would receive money from that. I don’t know what employer this was but it was in the last year that he said that to me in 2018. I am not going to do nothing like he wants. He needs to learn that he will get held accountable when he treat people like this and takes advantage of them.

 Dean Barrat asked me to loan him money for two weeks so he could pay of bills and he owed money for rent. He told me I would have the money back in two weeks. It’s has been over three years. He promised to make payments over and over.

He’s has lied to me and my father who he called and asked for his bank act info so he could make the payments to him since I asked for his address to have him served so wages could be garnished. He has lied to me and told me he got fired from his job trying to get me to not do reports on Ripoff.

He has two other reports on this website that I found after I loaned him the money. I went to High School with this guy in Bellevue Washington. He asked me to call his mother at one point also and she even tried to help and got to the point where she didn’t want to deal with it anymore because he would just lie and not follow through and she didn’t know what to do to get him to pay me back either.

She couldn’t believe her son was treating me like this. He has also lied to people we went to High School with telling them he was going through take care of it. I have received a lil over $1000 out of $5000 he promised to pay back.

He hung up on me last night when we called him acting like he didn’t know who I was since we called from a different number. He is lying and trying to hide what he is doing. He has told me everyday for almost the last two weeks that I would get payments from him.

He told me he started a new job at a new car dealership. He told me he was making more money and working 80 hour weeks. He told me in the past he had a lawsuit against a old employer where he sold used cars at also. I was supposed to get money from that. He has told me he was getting over 100,000 after the death of his grandmother and I would get money from that.

That never happened and was a lie as his mother told my father and I. He has told me that he was having friends who owned stores pulling money from their tils for him. He told me that he was getting cash from a American Express credit card in traveler checks and he had to then go cash them.

He told me he had a car that he was selling and I would get $1000 from that, he has told me two or three times that he was getting a loan and sent pictures showing it was in the process, he told me he had a flat tire so he couldn’t get to the bank, that he had to cash a check, that the bank put a hold on his check.. I have heard that several times from him.

At one point he told me he bought a girl a Escalade that he was seeing and she left and so he didn’t have the money because of that car. I don’t know what is true and what isn’t true with this person. The other morming he answered the phone and didn’t realize it as we heard his conversation.

He has money and is just choosing to spend it other ways. He isn’t the same person I once knew. He knows I’m a single mom and that my husband passed away and that he has caused massive problems for me with my bills and affected my credit with a car payment that I made for him in the very beginning when the loan first took place.

He just continues to lie and avoid me with where the money is but will call and tell me I will see the payment that day and then I don’t get the payment from him. We tried to have him served but he doesn’t seem to appear at the address he listed in the notarized contract that he signed and sent to me promising to pay me back $5000.

Tonight we called him and he Answer the phone because I called from my parents house not my phone number I said hello Dean. He said hi. I said where is my money and how do you intend to get me the money back that you owe me.

He then hung up the phone when he realize who it wise again this is the second time he’s done this in the past two days. He is a thief who preys in people he tho is he can get money out of. I have given him so many chances to pay back the money.

All he does is lie and make up more stories. He even told me to check my account and that he made a deposit a few times only to find out that was another lie. He sells cars atvuaed car dealerships and tells me he works 7 days a week and 80 hours but he can’t make any type of payments that he agrees to do.

I have a notarized contract from him with an address to have him served but he’s never at this address. (((REDACTED))) Clearwater Florida. (((REDACTED))). If you know this person ornwhere he lives please contact me as we are trying to locate him.

He has even told me that he had a lawyer in the past after he saw I did a report on rip off on him like two other people had also done previously before me on him not returning and taking money from them. That is what the reports said. He told his lawyer would contact me but that was also another lie.

Dean Barrat continues to lie wont answer my phone calls, ignores me, and isn’t follotjrought with what he agreed to again. He has lowered the payment amount several times.  It has been over three years now. Dean continues to not make payments and will lie and tell me he made a payment when he lied and didn’t make the payment he will go as far as setting up the payment taking a screen shot and sending it to me that the payment has been set up only to delete it afterward and not make the agreed payment.

He is affecting my credit with a car payment that was made for him in full for over $400 and was made over three years ago. Has been on collections affecting my credit for over a year. Dean says he is a friend but treats me like dirt and will not give me my money back when I have a daughter to take care of.

He knows I lost my husband and struggle with bills but is not but does not seem to care how it affects me or my daughter. He has had three or four different jobs that I am aware of and use that as an excuse why he can’t make the payment, and told me that he is catching up on his bills. You would think if he was a responsible adult that he would make getting me paid back a priority and include this in his bills.

At one point he wasn’t even making the payments and was ignoring me like he is now again and come to find out he was making payments on another car for someone. His mom has tried to help but he blows that off also and doesn’t care that he asked me to call her and pulled her into the middle of it also. He has lied and called my dad a few times and asked him to step in and promised him that he was going to make payments he went as far as asking my dad for his bank account information so he can make the payments to my dad which he never did either after my father agreed.

He is now working for another car dealership and told me he makes more money and works more hours but yet is making no payment and when he makes a payment he doesn’t make it for the agreed payment and now it’s telling me he gets paid every two weeks and isn’t putting the money aside to make the weekly payments that he promised he would do.

 It is now 2019. This loan took place in 2015. It was a loan for two weeks. I have been given so many stories that I can’t even keep count. Deans mother tried to help after Dean told me to call her when I told him let’s settle this in court. His mother decided there was nothing more she could do because Dean lied to her also about taking care of this.

He always has a excuse why he can’t respond but he can respond that he’s in a meeting, he’s at work, anything but answering me where the money is and when i will see a deposit. Dean has taken it spin himself to text me and say how sorry and wrong he’s been and how he’s going to take care of it this time and make payments.

Dean was the one that told me the amount and that what days he would make the deposits. He once again doesn’t make the payments and avoids all calls. He has told me that he will text me or let me know and he does no such thing. I have had to try to contact him every time. He knows I have a daughter take care of and doesn’t even blink a eye over it.

He knows he has put me in debt and doesn’t care. For someone who tells me he’s at work at the time and in the middle of a deal with selling a car and can’t talk or respond, you would think that this loan would have been taken care of.

I have received $550 out of $5000 in the last three years and this loan was supposed to be for two weeks. He continues to ask for payments but does not make them and lies about when he’s going to make payments.

 Dean continues to avoid me and that he owes me money. His latest excuse is that he won’t talk to me since I put a update on ripoff. He continues to lie about making a Zelle. He wants to be able to make payments but lied on a notarized contract.He also can’t seen to make the payments. He has told me that he has had three lawyers who would contact me three different times. If he didn’t want to talk to me he could have a lawyer contact me but those were all lies also. He tries to make people feel sorry for him and says he’s going to do the right thing only to lie again. He has disrespected my father, his mother and me with this whole thing. Lying to all of us telling us he is going to take care of it. He lied to mutual friends also that went to Bellevue High School also. He complains that he’s having hard times. It doesn’t matter if you are having hard times or a child to take care of as I do. This money was given to Dean from a savings account and was supposed to be for two weeks.

Loan took place in Dec 2015. It’s been over three years. There is another report on here also that I found on Dean Barrat. That’s how I found out about this website. He will not respond with a valid address so I can have him served. He lied on the notarized contract that he signed about his residence. He told me later that his boss was putting him up rent free and he was going to start paying me $100 that he was paying a day to stay in a motel. He is stealing from me and causing me problems with my credit. He has lied several times to me and my father about making deposits into bank accounts. He will go to any extent to lie and avoid you. When we did get a hold of Dean by phone he asked who it was and when I told him it was Chantal he hung up on me avoiding me again. When we called him back he just sent the call to voicemail and ignores all texts but is reading them. I have received $350 back from Dean out of $5000.

I will continue to do updates weekly until this is taken care of. Do not trust him. He is shady and I feel a scam artist with how he’s acted for over three years. He will not give you money back. He’s really good at making you feel sorry for him. He has no one dependent on him like I have two children and a husband that passed away. He could care less. His actions have shown that over and over. He just lies and avoids the fact that he owes me money and doesn’t ever follow through. I am trying to locate him. Last I knew he was in Lutz,Clearwater area in Florida. If you know of his whereabouts please let me know. Last I knew he was a car salesman. I believe he has done this over the last 5 years at least and has been at at least 3-5 car dealerships. He even told me that he had a case against a previous employer who owed him for back pay and he said he had a lawyer for that also. I was supposed to get money from that and that never happened. All the times he told me a lawyer would contact me it was a lie. One of the lawyers he said he had was disbarred before he said he was representing him also.

 It has been three years of lies from Dean Barrat now. He continues to lie and say he’s going to do a Zelle or a deposit. It has been 8 weeks since I have gotten a response about the money he owes me. I have received $350 back from him out of $5000. He told me 6 weeks ago that his boss put him up in a apt and he was living rent free and that he was going to start paying me the $100 a day that he was paying daily prior for where he lived. He once again hasn’t made a payment and has ignored all contact for the last 6 weeks. He hung up on me once when I called from a different number when he realized it was me. His mother had even tried to step in and help. I have a daughter and he could care less that he asked a single mom for money so he could pay his bills he claimed. It’s been over three years and all I have heard is lies and empty promises. He signed a notarized contract and has not followed through and the address he listed to be served at if he didn’t follow through in payments wasn’t where he was living at the time either. I believe he is still a car salesman and still ignores paying me back when he is working.

 Dean Barrat continues to not give me my money back and not let me know where he is living to be served. He called my phone at 8:38 on July 12. 2018 and leaves no message. Just like in the past. I texted him and told him he could text me if it was about him having my $5000. Told him not to contact my father again for help because he lied to him for the 3rd time about funds. My father is dealing with my dying Grandmother. I told him if I wouldn’t talk to him on the phone because all he does is lie. He didn’t respond to me about where my money is and is still trying to hide and steal $5000 that he promised over and over that he was going to give me the money in many diff ways. All lies. This was a loan for two weeks and it’s been over 2 1/2 years. Will continue updates until it’s handles and I told him that awhile ago. He’s called and only complains that I’m doing updates. Wouldn’t be doing then if he would tell the truth and take care of his debt from a single mom that he asked for money from.

 Dean Barrat will not return my phone calls or texts. Doesn’t respond via email either. He is trying to steal $5000 from me. He is unresponsive about where my money is. He has lied for over 2.5 years telling me he was going to make deposits or send me the money. He called my father who’s in his 70’s 4 weeks ago and asked him if he would help him and if he could send the money to him. More Dean Barrat stories and lied to my father again now. My father doesn’t even know him and had nothing to do with this loan either. He also thinks he’s a crook and a con. Dean Barrat is trying to hide from me so I can’t have him served. He told me he didn’t have an address to give me since he said he was living out of a motel. Told him I could have him served there. But he still refuses to give me his address and thinks he should be able to make payments.

He takes no accountability for his actions and blames everyone else for his problems. His family won’t help him or talk to him due to his lies and what he’s done to his family in the past. He brought his mother into this by telling me she was going to help. He lied to her over and over so she wants nothing to do with him now. She called me and we discussed and compared the things he would say. He good at hanging up on you when he knows he’s in the wrong and doesn’t want to hear it. He won’t respond to me where my money is and wouldn’t answer his mom about it either the last time she asked her son. He won’t tell his mother his address either. She also has asked him.

I have called the police about this situation. It has been weeks since Dean Barrat has responded about where my money is and won’t respond when I ask. Texted him today again July 10.2018. I will let people know what he’s doing so hopefully he doesn’t do this to someone else in Florida. Last I knew he was living in Tampa, New Port Richey, or Lutz. He was working as a car salesman last I knew also. Be careful if you meet him he will scam you out of money. There is another report on here by someone else he scammed out of money according to what the person wrote on the report. Told me some of the same things as excuses where the money was. This loan took place in December of 2015. It was supposed to be for two weeks. It’s now July 2018. He’s a crook, liar, and a con.

 I have texted Dean Barrat and he will not respond to me about where my $5000 is. I called him and he will send my phone calls to voicemail and I have left messages. No phone call back about where my $5000 is. When we just tried to call him from my home phone he didn’t answer either. Within 5 minutes he called my home phone number back. When it came up in the called ID that he called and I answered and said Dean where is my money he then hung up the phone.

He is avoiding me and stealing $5000 that he owes me. He can call me back probably because he didn’t remember this number. He’s called me on it before also. My grandmother is about to die and he will not give me my money so I can get to Washington state to see my grandmother with the rest of my family. It has been three weeks now since he told my father he was going to start making $200 payments every week He should have sent $600 to my father by now.

He was the one that called my father all on his own and asked him if he could send him the money since I told him I wanted my $5000 and would not do payments with him because he lies and does not do the payment as he says he will every single time. I also dont trust him with the way he behaves and because he has a domestic violence report on him that I found. I have two children to protect. He can call my father who’s in his late 70’s and lie and play him and after all he’s done to me who knows what all he’s capable of doing.

 It is now July 5th. Two weeks after Dean Barrat called my father in his 70’s and pleaded with him to let him make payments to him since I didn’t trust him and was sick of his lies. He owe me the $5000 not my father. Guess he thinks it’s ok to call someone’s father in their 70’s and ask him for help only to turn around and lie to him and play games with him like he has done to me for over 2 1/2 years. I will continually do updates to let people know what Dean Barrat is doing. He works for a car dealership and still can’t make any payments. He just lies to whoever he tries to get to help him and give him a chance.

He’s run out of chances with people. He’s a crook and steals from people who he clearly takes advantage of like me and my father and his mother who won’t help him either due to his lies. She also knows I’m doing reports on here. He has disrespected his family just like me and had lied to them also. I find it interesting how one can say their family abandoned them. His mother says he abandoned his family by acting like this and embarrassing his family and their name like he has. I can’t even believe he called my Dad and lied to him again as he promised my father he wouldn’t do again and that he was going to make it right and do the right thing this time. Always another story and lie.

 July 3.2018 Dean Barrett continues to play his games. 12 days ago he called my father up and asked him for his bank account info and told him he was going to start making payments to him since I continue to go on rip off and do not want to have anything to do with him anymore. He constantly lies. He knows that my father is dealing with a sick wife, a mother who is about ready to pass away and we just had another huge loss in our family a week ago. He continues to make up excuses and not make the payments. He keeps on telling everyone he’s going to make a payment and fails to do it. 12 days ago he called my father and asked him if he could start making the payments my father.

My father has been in contact with him asking where the money is that he told him he would transfer in a few days when he first called him. He told him he would transfer $200 each week. It has almost been another two weeks with no transfers. My father texted him on Monday July 2. and he refuses to tell him where the payments are and makes excuses every single time my dad asks where the money is. He could care less if you’re in a situation where your family is going through major losses. My father is it in his 70s. Dean still had the adicity to call my father up and now is playing games with him and lying to him exactly like he has done to me for over 2 1/2 years.

On Saturday my father told Dean don’t play me. He responded nobody’s playing. When my father texted him Monday July 2.2018 he wouldn’t respond where the money was. When we spoke to his mother yesterday and we discussed some of the things that Dean has said to her as well as to us, he has told his mother the same thing that he told us and hangs up on her just like he hangs up on us when he doesn’t like something that’s being said to him. Especially when he’s being called out or asked where the money is. Dean Barrat will not take any accountability for his own actions and continue to try and steal $5000 from me and cannot handle making even a $50 payment. He could care less that I am a widower with a daughter and a son and a house to take care of.

He didn’t have a problem asking a single mother with 2 children for money so he could pay his bills and asking a single mother to make his car payment for him. But he sure has a problem with giving the money back. If you look on this Ripoff site you’ll find another report done on him and if you compare notes he has done the same thing with not paying back money according to the report and said very similar things if not the same things to the other people that he has said to me. Last I talked to Dean he told me he was selling his car and his boss took it to a car auction and he was going to be getting $1000 from that and his car loan was being paid off. So he claimes. He has told me he gets paid on Fridays and will send me money and make deposits and does not do that. He claims he Is in a backpay settlement with his old job because they didn’t pay him money that’s owed to him. He says that he has a lawyer.

I asked him to have his lawyer confirm that he was getting money and he couldn’t do that either. He also told me he had a lawyer who would oversee this loan until it was taken care of for $300 but yet when I ask him who his lawyer is he refuses to tell me and refuses to have his lawyer call me. When I told him I wouldn’t accept any more lies and wanted proof is when he called my father and asked him for his help. My father doesn’t know him but knows that he’s scammed me and not paid back money owed. More lies on Dean's part . His own family will not speak to him because of the way he talks he is losing friends and family members because of his actions and blames everybody else for his problems it has been over 2 1/2 years that he has been doing this to me. Is in a backpay settlement with his old job because they all have money and that he has a lawyer.

I’m sure his story about that he is having a lawsuit against his old boss at the car dealership that he worked for for backpay and is getting a settlement out of it it’s probably another lie He lies all the time. It doesn’t matter if you were blood related or not. I will never trust this guy again who I went to high school at Bellevue high school with I would never want to work with somebody like this or have somebody like to sell me a car either for that matter. He is a con a liar and a thief and stealing $5000 from me. I told his mother I was going to let people know what he was doing so he could not do this to other people she didn’t blame me one single bit and that says 1 million words right there

 6/19/18 Texted with Dean last week. He told me he was selling his car and waiting for his boss to get back from a car auction he was at with the check. He told me he was getting $1000 for it. Looks like the story before of selling his car to someone and meeting them at the bank was another lie. My mom had a heat attack and I was trying to get to her last week and my grandmother who is about to die. He told me to take money from another friend of mine who was willing to help get me to WA.

Since Dean didn’t give me the money in time the week before like he once again promised the tickets went up and I didn't have enough money for my daughter and I. When he heard about my mom he said let’s pray together, I’m your friend and I’m here for you. He plays sick head games. He promised me he wouldn’t lie anymore and would be honest. He promise to do a deposit last Thursday, last Friday, Monday yesterday 6/18/18 and this coming Wednesday. He has done none of the 3/4 days that have passed.

When I texted him about where the funds were last night he said he was waiting on a call and he would text me right back. He never did as I told him he would do. I have help with trying to locate him. I know he works for another car dealership. He says he’s working from home(I believe a hotel where he lives) He refuses to give me back my money or an address so we can go to court. I have two children. He didn’t have a problem asking a single widowed mother for money to pay his bills but won’t give it back.

I also have a car payment he had me make on a credit card that is causing my credit to be bad. This is someone who I went to Bellevue High School with and was a friend. If you know Dean Barrat please contact me. I have people trying to help locate him so he can be served at the car dealership he works at or the hotel. He says he is working from home right now due to medical issues. Dean has told me many lies including using his grandmother who passed away.

He told me he was getting $100,000 from her. He said I would get my money then. His mother told my father and I that it wasn’t true and a lie. There never was any money that was coming from his grandmother to him. He even sent me pics of the court papers and said it was in probate. He told me this story for over 7 months. He complains he has nobody to me but look at what he does. It seems like he has no regard to anybody’s feelings. He doesn’t care if he hurts people or they’re in a family crisis. He only cares about himself.

I asked him if he was just ignoring this and hoping it would go away like a lien he had on him from the IRS that I found out about when doing a public background check on him. It also showed a battery domestic violence on his public report. If I would have known that he already had someone file on this site Ripoff in the past also and that his sister won’t talk to him due to a financial matter I never would have given him a loan. He has owed me $5000 and refuses to pay it back.

He had me call his mom and had his mom step in since he couldn’t afford a lawyer to oversee this since I didn’t want to be in contact anymore due to all the lies. He told me he had three lawyers now. One was disbarred also before he said he was representing him. He lied to his mom also and told us both that he would start making payments of $350 every two weeks it has now been 10 weeks since he said that and I have not seen a penny. I continue to be in contact and talk to his mom.

I feel bad for her. She won’t talk to Dean until he takes care of this loan with me and changes his ways. I told Dean I would not go on how’re and do a report if he was honest and I got my money. I also told him I would do a update once the loan was paid off. He just lied and makes up story after story to cover one lie after another. I don’t know how mentally sane person can continue to act like this and talk to somebody and say the things he does and look at themselves.

 Dean Barrat continues to not respond about where my money is. He will respond about me doing updates on Ripoff. He says I’m destroying him. Everything I have put on here has come out of his mouth. All lies and made up stories.he doesn’t want to be held accountable and doesn’t want anyone to know what he has done and what kind of a person he is. He doesn’t care that I’m a single mother or have kids to take care of. He doesn’t care that he’s affecting my credit with a car payment of his on a credit card. He doesn’t care that my grandmother is on her death bed and I can’t go see her and take my daughter to go see her great grandmother before she dies. He tells me it will be handled but can’t answer how or where my money is or who his lawyer is that he claims to have. If he had a lawyer it shouldn’t be a problem to tell me who or have him contact me. He has lied about lawyers three times now. This would be the fourth lie about a lawyer. It’s almost been three weeks since he told me he was selling his car and paying of his debt. It has been almost 8 weeks since he texted me and his mother who he asked to help oversee this since he couldn’t afford a lawyer to oversee this and I wanted no contact or his address to go to court at that time. He texted us both together telling us he would be doing $350 payments every two weeks until he sold his car. If he would have done this I would be with my grandmother now. 2 1/2 years of lies and stories from him. Just ignores me when I ask where my money is and won’t respond and is trying to steal from a single mother who he asked for money from to pay his bills. He’s trying to hide so I can’t serve him. He’s taking away from my daughter by doing this. You don’t do that to a single mother you ask for money to pay your bills. This was supposed to be originally for one week then it was 2 weeks now it’s 2 1/2 years.

 I believe Dean Barrat is continuing to lie to me I have gotten no response from any representation that he said he had and that would be taking over. He continues to not tell me where my money is that I loaned him to pay off his bills he’s a single man with no children. He knows that I have 2 kids and a husband that passed away. He knows the money came out of my savings account. I have a credit card that has his car payment on it and is affecting my credit. I have a daughter to take care of and a grandmother who is on her deathbed and about ready to pass away. He does not have a care in the world for anybody but himself he will not give me my money back and continues to ignore my phone calls does not respond he says he will not respond to a text because he’s afraid I will put it on rip off.

He has lied to me for over 2 1/2 years and is still continuing to do it. He told me in the past that he had three other lawyers who would contact me and they never did. If he had representation as he states you would think it wouldn’t be a problem for him to give me the name of the person. In the past when I asked for the name of the person and when I would be contacted he would not tell me and would give me the excuse they work for me not you. But yet he admitted to me that it was lies in the past and he did not have representation. He is stealing from me and I am getting some of the same stories that another person said he also did to him that I found on Ripoff. He just continued to not give me my money and different stories. Now he is completely ignoring the fact that he owes me money asnis trying to hide and not pay back this loan. Went to Bellevue High School with him and never would have thought that he would dintios to me when he called himself a friend and asked me for help. Guess he thought he could just try and steal money from a single mom with two kids to take care of.

 Talked to Dean Barrat on the phone this am. June. 8. 2018. He said he won’t text me anymore because I put it in ripoff. When I asked where my money was this is what he said avoiding the question about where my money is like always. He then told me that I would be contacted by someone since I put things in rip-off.

Told him if he wouldn’t be lying and would give me my money there would be nothing put on rip-off. Look forward to hearing from his representative. I have been asking for this from him for over a year as I didn’t care to be in contact since he couldn’t tell the truth and kept on giving me stories.

Wouldn’t give me address where he could be served either but expected to be able to do payments when he was supposed to give me all the money back a week later after the loan took place. I tried with having his mother involved but he just lied to her also and didn’t keep to what he told her either. Have also kept in contact with his mother.

 Dean continues to tell me he’s selling his car and he’s getting the money. He has told me three times he’s meeting with the people.iys been 2 weeks nownof this story. Including telling me he was meeting them at the bank when I asked where my money was. My grandmother has a brain tumor and is dying and has days left. He texts and asked how she is, the next day asks how much the tickets are going to cost early in the am after ignoring me for two days. He has told me he will make payments and give me the money several times. I am unable to go see my grandmother due to his lies and stories he continues to tell. He has no respect and plays games. Who asks how a dying grandmother is doing and says they’re in a meeting finishing up the deal. We I text or call him he doesn’t respond and sends the phone calls to voicemail. This is what he did for two days after telling me he would give me the money. He also tells me to locate him and then I can take him to court. He plays games and wont give me his address because he says he is staying in a Motel and told me if I put that on rip-off we will go after you for slander. Only problem is it came out of his moth and isn’t a lie. He just uses it as a excuse why he won’t give me an address to have him served but yet he expects to be able to do payments.

This loan was supposed to be for a week and it’s been over 2 1/2 years. He won’t or can’t get a loan. Nobody seems to want to help him with a loan that he has told me several times that diff people were helping him. If you read the previous reports you will see all the lies he has told and stories he had made up. He asked me to wait for over 7 months when his grandmother was dying because he said he was getting $100,000. Ended up being another lie his mother told my father and I. Is sad have would ask a single mike who has wonkids I mine for is bills. Even made a car payment of him. I have kids to take care of and he has himself and is been over 2.5 years. Definitely shows his character and he has no respect or priorities and only thinks about himself. I still can’t believ he asked how my grandmother was and the ticket cost. It’s like he is playing head games now also. It’s sick.

  Dean Barrett continues to lie to me. He never made a $350 deposit as he sent his mother and I a text telling me he would start doing when he got paid on every other Friday over 10 days ago. He has said he would make deposits many times over the last 2 1/2 years. He also told me last week about seven days ago that he was going to be selling his car so he could pay of his debt. He said he was meeting the people at the bank on this last Saturday at 1 PM ( may 26. 2018). On Sunday, May 27, 2018 he told me they were still negotiating in the a.m. there no more word on the car or my money. He wouldn’t respond.

Dean Barrett tried to call me Sunday May 27. 2018 at 4:30 and I did not answer the phone. I told him I no longer wish to talk to him on the phone because all he does is lie. I told him to text me. He now told me this am Tuesday May 29th. 2018 when I texted him I would be doing a report on ripoff since he can’t respond about my money or send me an address for him to be served that he’s going to file this week with a lawyer since I keep on doing reports on rip off because he says I am bulling him. All I have done is tell the truth and repeat what has came out of his mouth. I am putting it out there so other people know what he’s doing so it doesn’t happen to them. I also found another report on him when I googled his name. That’s how I found this website to begin with.

He continues to lie and every single thing I put on ripoff has come out of his mouth. Last October Dean told me to contact his mom and that she was going to oversee this loan until it was paid off because he could not afford a lawyer when I asked him to hire a lawyer to oversee this so we did not have to be in contact. My grandmother is sick and dying and he knows that also and told me I would have the money that he promised and to trust him and it was happening this time. He has also said that before to trust him and it was happening. He knows I’m a single mother who lost her husband because he’s was a friend before who I went to high school with. He used and abused our friendship asked me for money so he could pay his bills and refuses to give me money back so I can pay my bills. He has lied to me about going to make deposits which has caused problems for me with my bank account along with his car payment he had me make for him on a credit card for him that was canceled. He knows my grandmother is very sick and I would like to go see her before she passes away which could happen at any time and told me he was going to get money into my account and it never happened. He lied to me for over seven months over a year ago telling me that his grandmother was sick and was going to die and he was getting over $100,000 and to wait or we could go to court. Only to come to find out from his own mother that it was all a lie and made up. There was no money that he was getting.

We went on with this story for months. I don’t know how anyone can act like this and make up a story like that and do this to a single mom who they called a friend. I honestly do not think Dean had any intentions on paying me back I think he purposely was trying to steal from me from the beginning he refuses to give me his address to where he can be served. He can’t be found because he doesn’t have a residential address. I told him he could be served at his place of residence where he’s currently staying at or he can be served at his work. I told him I look forward to hearing from his lawyer this week since he said he’s going to go after me for what I have written on ripoff. He says I’m bulling him but all these things came out of his mouth first. I guess that would make him bulling me first since he seems to think I’m doing that to him. I told him that he can have me served since he refuses to give me his address or my $5000. He knows my address because he was supposed to send money and contracts that he kept if changing trying to buy more time. I told him to stop lying to me and I wouldn’t do updates on ripoff but he continues and I’m so worried he will do this to another person. He obviously does not want to be held accountable and doesn’t know how to hold himself accountable because he does not pay off his debt

 Since I told Dean I was going to take him to court he agreed to a contract and sent me a copy showing it was signed and dated. He also sent it to his mother who has been trying to help so I wouldn’t take her son to court and he could have the opportunity to pay me back. He continues to lie and tell me he made deposits and the money would be released after the hold was lifted. That was supposed to happen on May 10. I never saw a cent. He said after that money was released he was going to make a payment.Never happened. Prior he also asked me if I would send something to his work stating that we have come to an agreement for the $5000 owed. This was for a new job that he got. He said his job was in jeopardy. He said he was getting back pay from his old job who owed him money and that he had a lawyer taking care of it. He told his mother and I both this. These were both ways he said he was getting me money to pay me back. He then sent me and his mother a group text and told me he could not do the $350 payment until Friday May 18.2018 after he got paid. He told me this after not telling me I would be not getting a payment from the money that was supposed to be released on the 10th. When I told him I was filing a police report and taking him to court,and going to do another report on rip off he promised me that this time he would tell the truth and he was going to make a deposit on Friday May 18. He did not do it. Sat May 19th he texted it would happen and it would be shortly. Hours went by and it didn’t happen. He will not give me his address and has said he would send it several times. He has given me many excuses as to what he is doing but won’t answer where the money is at the time it is due. I am at the point to where I have to hire a private investigator to find him so he can be served.

 I have continually asked Dean for his adresss to have him served since he can’t seem to pay $200 every two weeks to get this loan of $5000 paid off. He just continues to lie and make up stories. He wanted to do payments and I agreed and gave him 2 1/2 years (the loan was supposed to be for a week) but he hasn’t made payments as he said he would.

He knew it came from my savings and I have a daughter to take care of. This is 2 1/2 years of lies I have heard from him. He refuses to give me his address so I can have him served. He won’t return calls emails or text messages. He didn’t have a problem returning them when I was willing to let him make payments but he would only text to give me another story, lie, or excuses. He has a problem and doesn’t make them though. Everything he has said he would do he he not done. He has no accountability and doesn’t care how it affect others.

This is all coming from someone who called himself a friend. It’s selfish what he continues to do to me and his mother is also involved since he couldn’t afford a attorney to draw up the paperwork and over see the loan. His mom said he would oversee the loan for $5000 until it was paid off. He continues to lie and avoid this. He is now refusing to give me a address to have papers served to him. I told him if he missed a payment we would go to court. He agreed and still doesn’t make the payments and now is trying to avoid this and steal from me.

 Dean was to let me know last week on Thursday April. 19.2018 if he had the $5000 to pay off the loan or his address so we can go to court to handle this since he can’t make any payments. Told him You need to get a loan to pay off the full $5000 or we can go to court and have this dealt with through the courts since he can’t handle a payment program and keeping his word. He continues to ignore texts emails and phone calls he is now trying to hide from me so I do not find him so I cannot take him to court and hold him responsible for his actions. He scammed a single mother out of money he knew from high school and continues to make up lies and not repay the money. Told him he’s taking away from a 10 year old but he doesn’t care. He’s a man in his 40’s who had taken advantage of me. Gives me excuses he wasn’t getting paid at work or he’s waiting for a check to clear. Now he is unresponsive and trying to hide and steal the money and not pay it back. He doesn’t respond.

 Dean Barrat continues to lie. He continues to tell he he was going to take care of $5000 that he owes me. Have tried to do several payment plans with him. Last Oct. 2017 he told me to call his mom that she wanted to help oversee the loan because he couldn’t afford a lawyer and didn’t want to go to court. I agreed trying to give him the benefit of the doubt so he could do the right thing and get this handled with his mom being the middle man. I continue to talk to his mom and she is in the same boat as me. Can’t believe his actions. Can’t beli what he’s doing to me. He promises he is going to take care of it and doesn’t. Always a excuse to why he can’t make a deposit. Always waiting for his check to clear, or to get paid. He does this week after week. He agreed to do only $200 every two weeks and has a problem even making that amount. He knows I have a daughter to take care of and he’s taking from her also as this money came from my savings. He can text me that he just got a new phone and to send him the bank deposit info again. So he can buy himself a new phone but not pay of a debt to someone he scammed out of money that he went to high school with.

It has been a month since he agreed to $200 every two weeks. Only $100 a week and he can’t even do that with his mom involved and trying to help make sure it gets done. I told him if he didn’t come through we would go to court and he verbally agreed. Watch out for this person. He lies all the time and makes up story after story. He lied to people who I stayed with about the fact that he was going to pay me back also. He texted them telling them he was going to do payments and get this handled. He claims he’s so sorry and feels horrible but continues to do it. It’s been 2.5 years of this from him now. He has shown that he can’t be trusted and will go to any extent to lie so he doesn’t have to pay a single mom back who he knew and went to high school with.

 It has been over two years now since this loan took place, this loan was supposed to be paid back in one week from the date it took place which was December 2015. Dean Barrett continues to lie, manipulate the situation, come up with more stories, promised to send a notarized contract and promised to make payments once a week if I did not take him to court. His mother even got involved and tried to help but that didn’t stop him from what he was doing to me either. He sent me text messages at 10:42 pm on Saturday January 28.2018, (when I told him I will not talk to him on the phone, many times prior also in text messages with his mom also copied on the group text)to call him but yet will not answer his phone. If i call him with representation listening he doesn’t answer the phone. I have told him I will not talk to him on the phone without presence. He has told me to tell mutual friends that we went to high school with that he is sorry who had to help me and saw and heard his lies also, he even lied to one of them also and told them he was going to make this right and take care of this loan with me and that he was going to make payments. When he didn’t make deposits like he promised he was going to. He doesn’t change his behavior and actions but wants people to not think he isn’t a thief and that he is going to pay me back the $5000 dollars owed. He made one payment for $120 and it should have been for $125 since he was late per the contract he agreed to and said he was having the notarized contract sent to me that next day. His mother was copied on all of the texts for the last month of when he was supposed to start making payments of "only” $100 a week. If his payment was deposited after a Friday a late fee for $25 was added to the payment. He is now almost 7 weeks late on only $100 payments a week every Friday that I agreed to so he could pay this off and feel good about it. He continues to lie and make up excuses and not make payments the fact that I have a child take care of is no disregard to him. He doesn’t care. He is a single guy and has had over two years to pay me back that loan like I said I have only received $120 in over two years from him. He didn’t have a problem asking a widowed mother of a child to take care of for the money but he can’t seem to pay the money back. I feel that he has no intentions to pay back this money and never did. He just wasn’t to look good in others eyes. He continues to give himself his own reputation all on hus own with no help.

 Nov 14.2017 at 8:01 pm I️ received a email from Dean Barrett stating " My mom wants you to call her.” I️ responded via email and stated” I told you not to email me unless it is about the $5000. You continue not to listen. Your family problems are not my problems. You begged me not to call your mom before several times when you lied to me and I wanted to call her and see if she was going to help you.

I have nothing left to say to you and your crazier then I thought you were before if you think you can tell me what to do after lying for over two years and lying about lawyers and everything else and how and when you were getting the money for two years. Your a liar and a thief.” I then received a second email from Dean Barrat at 8:46 pm stating " She wants you to call her on it. " I responded and stated "I’ll see you in court. Why don’t you have her call your lawyer you told me to call that you never saw. I don’t want to hear from you.

I don’t trust anything you say for good reason. Your a liar who steals. If your mom is going to help you she can email me. You figure out your own problems Dean. You caused all of this and played all the sick games for 2 years when I have children to take care of and lost a husband. That didn’t stop you from asking for money and not giving it back. I don’t believe anything you say after all the lies and stories you have told me.

As I told you I don’t ever want to talk to you again. What you have done to me is so wrong.” I never received any email from Deans mother. I’m sure it’s another one of his lies. Why he thinks he can email me and tell me to call his mom when he should be dealing with his own problems and paying his own debt that he causes for himself.

 I️ received a message via email from Dean Barrett on November 10. 2017. He stated "You just destroyed my relationship that I had I’m done I’ll see you in court was trying to patch up things with my parents and to help me and now you went for my sister brother involved who are upset with my mom thank you I️ hope you are totally happy with this it’s heartless.” I️ responded back via email to Dean Barrett on November 10, 2017 and I stated " You are tying to steal from me now. You told me to contact your third lawyer who you told me was handling the loan. You never even met with this third lawyer. The first two were lies. You told me the lawyers name and to contact him. You

continue to make up lies and excuses. Avoiding the fact that you owe me $5000. You continue to respond about your family problems and that has nothing to do with me. Excuses, excuses. You only have YOURSELF to blame for all of this. It has been over two years. If you wouldn’t have lied as I said many times YOU wouldn’t have had a report filed for a second time on Ripoff. That’s your fault nobody else’s. You gave me story after story for two years now lying every single time. You have shown that you don’t care that I have children and bills to take care of. You had no business asking a widow/single mom with two children to pay your bills and for money(that’s so wrong in itself).  You

had a lien on you when you asked for all of this help also. I didn’t know until I did a background check on you and you had a long record especially in WA and had not paid your taxes either. Hence the lien from the IRS on you. You can email me and tell me I’m heartless because I ruined your family?? You are responsible for your own family problems. You have had problems for a long time with them also. You told me that. You sister doesn’t talk to you because of another money situation that YOU told me about that went bad. I’m sorry if they saw what was on rip off that’s your problem I have not spoken to your sister or brother ever. You just continue to make excuses because you

continue to lie. It’s heartless what you have done to me for two years because it directly affects my children also. Still doesn’t stop you either.  Your a troubled person and obviously trying to steal from me because you haven’t paid me one penny, no payment no form of anything to repay this loan only excuses and lies and stories. Sounds like you need to grow up and deal with your problems instead of lying and stealing.” Dean Barrett has threatened to sue me since I have done reports on Ripoff. Dean Barrett seems to forget that all of these stories and lies have come out of his mouth. He continues to not respond about where the funds from $5000 loan is. I️t seems that he isn’t used to being held accountable for his actions.

 Just got another email from Dean Barrett on Friday Nov 10. 2017. He continues to not respond about the question where is my $5000. The only thing he said in his email to me was " Thank you for destroying my relationship with my mom and family I hope that makes you happy and you got what you wanted”. I told him to look in he mirror and take some accountability on his actions that he caused by all of his lies and stories he told. He has no one but himself to blame for this. He is not giving me my money back and is continuing to steal from me. He is mad that I have done updates sonotjer people know what he is capable of doing. He did it to a widow/ single mother with two kids. He has no remorse and continues to lie.

 It is now Nov. 9 2017. Dean Barrett never showed to meet the lawyer who he told me to contact last week on Nov 1.2017. He doesn’t respond via email about my $5000. He will email me and ask me questions such as " why are you trying to ruin me and my family” he doesn’t like that I have put everything on Ripoff since I saw another report filed by another person on this site prior to him scamming me. He is unresponsive about the money he owes me and still avoids the question where is my $5000? He is trying to steal from me as I am beginning to believe he was doing all along since he has told so many stories and lies. He has used his work, his family, his friends he says he has, all as excuses where he is getting the money from. He had a story for each one. Including that he has told me he has had three lawyers representing him. With all sorts of stories when they would contact me and a excuse for why they haven’t. He is a scam artist and a theif. If he wasn’t he would have taken care of this. He has had many options with me on payment plans witch he failed every single one. He couldn’t even make a $100 payment. He will be held accountable for this. I will do whatever I can so he doesn’t scam another widowed Mother with a children out of money.

 Dean Barret continues to lie. He contacted me last week and told me to contact his Lawyer named Todd Burbine. I did contact him on Wednesday November 1. 2017 when he told me to and I was told he had called that morning to set up a appointment to come in and talk to him on Thursday Nov 2.2017. He called and cancelled his appointment and rescheduled it for the next day Friday Nov. 3.2017. He did not show or call to cancel. When he was called today on Monday Nov 6.2017 by Todd Burbines lawyers office he did not answer his phone and the lawyers office left a message for him. His lawyer Joe who he told me he had representing him for the past year at least, never called me either or emailed. He still refused to tell me his last name or contact info. That was the second lawyer that he told me was going to charge him $300 to oversee a payment plan until the $5000 was paid off at $100 a week. That’s all he said he could do. I told Dean to take the $300 off the $5000 he owed me for the fee. He still could not have this lawyer " Joe” contact me. He is now not responding via email. I have blocked his number so he can not contact me that way. I don’t want to ever talk to this scam artist again. He told me to have papers served to his P.O Box last week. You can’t serve papers to a P.O. box. He also threatened to just file bankruptcy to he wouldn’t have to pay me back. I have now started to take measures to get my $5000 back. Can’t wait to see how he can prove all these lies and stories he told. He even used his family members in his stories. If they were true what he was saying he would have gotten the money according to what he said, that came out of his mouth.

 I got ahold of Dean Barrett on the phone this am Oct 31. 2017. I asked “ Where is my money Dean?â€Â I got the response “ You did another report in Ripoffâ€Â from his mouth. He couldn’t answer where my money was. If he wouldn’t have lied he wouldn’t have ever had a report on Ripoff. I would have never googled his name and found that someone else had already done a report on Ripoff prior to all of his lies and stories to me. He is completely avoiding the fact that he owes me $5000 and continues to play his sick games with all his stories and lies. He is completely unresponsive about my money he owes me and I still have not heard from his lawyer who he told me would set up a payment plan on Monday Oct 30th.2017 It’s Tuesday Oct 31. 2017 today. He is now trying to steal from me and avoid the fact that he owes me money. I will continue to do updates until I get the money or the courts hopefully garnish hus wages from whatever money he gets at work since he can’t handle making a $100 payment each week on his own.

 Friday Oct. 27th. 2017 Dean Barrett told me he could do a deposit of $100 that day. He emailed me that Monday Oct 30. 2017 he would pay his attorney to oversee and draw up a contract of payments of $100 every Friday until the loan was paid off. I told him I didn’t want to be in contact or talk to him anymore due to all of his lies and stories he tells. I told him it would take 8 months for him to pay off a loan at $100 a week. This loan was supposed to be for two weeks at the most we are now going on almost 2 years. Still not even a penny. By the time the loan is paid off at $100 a week we will be near three years to pay the loan off. Dean Barrett did not make a deposit on Friday Oct 27. 2017 for $100 dollars as he said he would when I contacted him on Saturday, he told me he didn’t get paid on Friday Oct 27.2017. and he didn’t get the money until Saturday. I texted him in the afternoon on Sat Oct 28. 2017. and told him there was still no deposit and nothing pending let the bank. He said he was going to send me proof. I never received any proof from Dean on Saturday Oct 28..2017. or Sunday Oct. 29..2917. and is now Monday, October 30 and I have not heard from him and I have not heard from his lawyer he refuses to answer the phone calls he refuses to respond via email and he does not respond to my texts about where the money is. He did respond via text at 1 o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, October 30 to say “ I’m in a meeting”. Never heard from him after that. He told me he was getting a loan from his Mom. Here’s what he said to me “I’m trying to have my mom help me she does not know details except I ran up my credit card business is slow because of Hurricane ” . He is now unresponsive when I ask who his lawyer is and when I would hear from him today. He did the same thing gave me stories with his first lawyer who he said would contact me and never did either. He also told me that Herb the first lawyer had my money in Escrow. That was a lie. He continues to lie and make up stories. He is trying to con and steal from a single mom who he asked for money to pay his bills. He is avoiding me and I think he is trying to hide also now. He is unresponsive because he’s probably still lying and obviously can’t even keep his word on $100 a week without someone overseeing it.

Received a text from Dean Barratt at 12:24 am today saying that he was going to take me to court and counter sue me since I have done reports on ripoff. He says that I have brought other people into it. All the stories with these people who he was getting the money from all came out of his mouth. I have had people around me and see what he has done over the past almost 2 years.. I still continue to receive no call or email from his lawyer and he refuses to give me his contact info. If he had a lawyer you would think his lawyer would advise him to pay off the loan rather then being taken to court and asked to pay all court fees and lawyer fees since he continues to lie and not have his lawyer contact me, as Dean has said he would multiple times. He is now trying to say I had mood swings. I call it stress from all his lies in telling me he had the money, or he was getting the money, or he would have his lawyer take over and I would hear from him, or he had the money coming shorty.. Dean even told me his first lawyer had my money in Escrow . He wanted me to do a update on ripoff first before I got the money. I refused. If I had a lawyer that told me it would cost $300 to over see a loan that would take 8 months to pay someone back at $100 a week and I had taken almost over 2 years to pay back a loan that I was originally told it would take two weeks because he was getting $17,000 from his boss that he was owed . That was the first lie he told me or he pocketed the money. I would have him do it.

Dean continues to make excuses. Obviously he can’t do $100 a week as he said. I said I would accept with his lawyer overseeing it because I want nothing to do with him anymore but he continues to not have his lawyer contact me about this . It has been almost 4 weeks since his lawyer was going to set the $100 payments up. He was supposed to have him set it up but he said he had to talk to him first. That was weeks ago. He continues to make me have to deal with him. I want nothing to do with him. Court is obviously the only answer since he doesn’t know how to be honest and not lie. The last I he said was that someone was co-signing for him. Yesterday he said that and I got no confirmation or email or call from his lawyer by 5:00pm yesterday and he said he understood when I told him I need to know by 5:00 pm yesterday. He never can show proof because he’s never had the money. He just doesn’t care. I have a credit card that was cancelled due to a over $400.00 car payment of his that he asked me to make on that card. He doesn’t care that I have a child to take care of. I don’t think he had and intentions on paying me back.

It’s been almost 2 years and I have not seen a penny from him and he claims to work 7 days a week. He would rather make a single mom have to get a second job to get caught up on my bills due to his lies when I should be spending that time with my daughter. There was already another report in this site Ripoff. I googled his name and that’s how we found out about it. Also did a public background check on him and found out other information about him that if I would have known about when he asked this single mom for money I would have never helped him.

 Never heard from Deans lawyer this past Monday. Always a excuse or he likes to tell you what he’s doing instead of answering the question. When I asked he said he had to talk to his lawyer first. The same lawyer he has claimed to have over a year and told me many times that I would hear from him. This is the second lawyer that I have not heard from that he said I would.

On Tuesday night he sent me a text that he had a solution again. He said he was asking him mom to co-sign for him. That’s the second time that he has said that to me. I told him to send me proof by 5 pm today or to have his lawyer contact me. Neither one happened. Just goes to show he will continue to lie and he doesn’t care what affect it has in someone. If you have a child watch out for this guy. You don’t want to end up in the position that he has put me in with my 10 year old daughter.

He is stealing the $5000 that he keeps on saying that he is going to pay me back. He tells me if I can’t wait to take him to court. I have waited almost 2 years. If he was a friend he wouldn’t do this as many people have said. I have tried to be a friend and wait but now I don’t want anything to do with him and told him his lawyer will have to over see payments but his lawyer doesn’t contact me like he says he would. I’ll put money on it that this loan he told me he had a cosigner for that could happen today( hear that before multiple times also) is just another lie. It’s amazing how someone can act like this with someone they call a friend.

 Dean Barrett still continues to lie and make up stories. Been another week and no email from his lawyer who he said he was going to let take over last week AGAIN! Heard the same song and dance from him multiple times that his Lawer Joe would contact me. When I ask for his lawyers info he won't provide it or tell me his last name. If you had a lawyer representing you it shouldn't be a problem especially when you tell someone he will be in contact with you(multiple times) Last Friday I once again didn't get any deposit made.

I haven't received a penny from him in almost 2 years. Dean wanted to pay $100 a week ( asked for this over two weeks ago, no,payment. Told him to have his lawyer contact me then because he lies all the time and I don't want to be in contact with him anymore. It would take 8 months to pay off the loan at $100 a week. Told him his Lawer will need to oversee it. He said his lawyer,would charge $300 to do this. He stil, continues to make excuses how he's getting the funds.

On Sat he asked me to give him 24hours because he was going to ask his mom to help him and consign on a loan with him. Gave him the 24hours and he is now not responding about the funds. We will be following up on these latest stories and proceeding with taking him to court since he seems on having a problem giving me my money back. I was supposed to get this money when he got money from his grandmother who passed away. He tells me his lien was paid off and didnt pay me the money after I waited for 8 months. If he wasn't going to get the money due to his lien he shouldn't have told me I would get the money as soon as he got the money from his grandmother.

Never heard anymore on the repayment email of the loan that Dean told me his step-grandfather was helping him with. That was 3-4,weeks ago now. If somebody had intentions on paying you back you would think they wouldn't behave like Dean Barrett continues to behave. He's a liar and a thief and continues to show it. It's very sad that a single person can't pay a penny back to a single mom with 2 kids who had their husband pass away and he knew that also. It's sick and I seriously don't know how someone can look at themselves in the mirror when they act like that. He's completely is taking advantage of me and causing hard times for a single mother dues to all of his lies and empty promises that are all lies.

 Still no funds. Now Dean wants to do $100 a week now. He told me $150 earlier this week and oh yea he was also getting all the money again this week. Told him to have his lawyer call me yesterday who he has told me numerous times would be calling or emailing me. I told him I don't want to talk to him anymore he lies and I don't trust him. I will not do this back and forth and changing what he says he's doing with him for 8 more months.. Once again I got no email from his lawyer Joe. He says he was in court yesterday. Heard that many times before. His lawyer must live at the courthouse. They're must have been no repayment contract as he said he was waiting for a response on one last week from his step grandfather he said.

 Dean Barrett still continues to lie and make up stories. Telling me he was coming into money, getting a loan, going to make payments from his paychecks and agreed to a contract. But then he tried to tell me his boss isn't paying him. Prob another lie. All these stories to try to keep it out of court and keep in stringing me along. He even gave me stories of how family members were going to help him out, only to learn they were just more stories and lies. His latest it that his grandfather was going to help him out and he was waiting on him to respond about his repayment plan that he said he emailed him. That was now five days ago. Dean will obviously will do whatever benefits him. I'm sure he's trying to think of his next lie to tell his next victim. Let me remind you it was a loan that was supposed to be repaid within two weeks in January 2015. and on December 2017 it will be two years.

 I have tried to give this guy who I went to high school the benefit of the doubt. He keeps on telling more lies and more stories to cover up his lies. He even told me he did a transfer and to check my account when I was out of the country. He will lie and so whatever he needs to. Doesn't matter that I'm a single Mom with a child to take care of. I always get that he's waiting in a email or he's waiting on a phone call. He has told me he had a cosigner before and was getting a loan. That never happened. They're is t anything that this guy will come up with. The reason why I have been trying to wait and give him the benefit of the doubt is because I felt bad for him he told me his grandmother passed away and he was getting some money so I was waiting on the money that he was supposed to be getting I don't even know if that is the truth now.  Got a text from Dean Barrat that he will have his lawyer call me on Monday today . I told him yesterday I would be doing a update and would add a picture today if the funds weren't deposited as he said it would be. I do t want him to do this to another person especially a single mom. I truely feel like he is a con and had no intentions on ever paying me back. He can hire a lawyer but not pay me back $5000 as he said he would have the money deposited? That says a lot right there. Sad to have to take someone to court that I know. I don't know if anything he has ever said to me is true. I told him that when this was loan was paid I would put on Ripoffreport that it had been taken care of. Never would have done a report if he wouldn't have ripped me off and kept on lying to me.

 I still have not received the $5000 from Dean Barrat. I get texts and emails with his stating he is getting the money and going to the bank but it is all lies and excuses. This person will do whatever is necessary to be able to extend his time to be able to make more excuses and lies up. He has told me several times " Just trust me" or "Its coming no joke" Do not trust him. Even if he knows you it doesn't matter he will still take advantage of you. I'm a single mom who's husband passed away and that has no affect on him. He knows he has caused a lot of problems due to him not paying this loan back. He was supposed to have this paid back in a week. It's been a year. He works in New Port Richey and I have yet to see a cent from him.

 Still haven't received payment from Dean Barrat. He now is telling me he has my money but is going to put it into excrow until I take this down on Rippoff Report. He already has another report on this website and has very similar lies and stories. He's just trying to cover the fact that he still doesn't have my money that was to be paid back in a week. When first initially borrowed. It has almost been a year now. He hasn't given me one cent or shown any good faith. He claims he has a lawyer now but if he had a lawyer you would think that would contact me or my representative. He told me he had a lawyer in the past also and that lawyer was disbarred even though he claims the reason why was because he had a stroke. He will come with any story I am learning. He is now avoiding communication and being unresponsive. Trying to have him served but his address isn't current.

  Now I am being told by Dean Barrat that that if I do not take this report down that he will not give me my money he is telling me now that he is going to put my money in escrow and I completely forgot that he has used that one before with me also probably for five months ago when he told me he had a lawer ( who was disbarred)and the money was an escrow. For the past four weeks now the money has been pending it was deposited into his account he claims but I am still waiting for the funds. I told him this report can come down when I get my money that he is stealing.
