I have done a lot of research in the field of addiction treatment to write this report;

This agency uses a very dangerous approach which causes a lot more harm to the clients by " dealing with the trauma issues". For that purpose they have adopted the so called " Pia Melody " approach which everyone in the treatment field will tell you is way too soon to bring out into the process. So this is what normally happens; addict gets to their program and right away they start probing for major trauma issues which off course they all have. The addict now begins to feel very uncomfortable and highly triggered by all these emotions like shame and guilt and then to top it off, they pay lip service to 12 steps programs. My son told me that they really do not like AA and his therapist told him that he should look for something else because 12 steps do not work. Never mind that 12 steps have been around for over 75 years and when applied, it really works. At the end, when the addict can't stand it no more, off course they run to relapse. I read another review which calls this program   " Relapse City USA " and that's exactly what it is. People have died in this program from drug overdoses and they have had a lot of close calls lately. I spoke to other parents who agree with me that this program is dangerous and should be seriouly investigated by the State of Arizona and the insurance companies which pay for it.

My son is now doing much better in another program.
