I am originally from London, UK.

I now live in Dubai, and work for a well known American owned company.

I found a particular frame I wanted (one I've worn for years) on the Decor My Eyes website. Tues 30th September 2008.

I called up to see if they would deliver to me. I was asked if UPS delivered to Dubai - I answered "yes" - the reply from Decor My Eyes was "if you UPS go there, then so do we".

I thought great - went back to completing the online order.

Received an email saying my transaction had been stopped and I needed to forward a xerox of my debit card (front and back) - I thought this was very strange and called Decor My Eyes. They then told me as well as the copy of my card (front and back) I needed to forward a copy of my passport as well.

I was very reluctant to do this but I stupidly did forward a copy of my passport hoping this would suffice in progressing the order - I really wanted those frames and could find them nowhere else on the internet.

What transpired next was shocking; they emailed me back seconds after receiving the copy of my passport saying "order cancelled, we don't mess with you people".

I called up and asked what the h*ll was going on. They said they were not delivering to Dubai, to them "dirty Middle East countries". I said fair enough. I asked for the delivery address to be changed to a London address, my Mothers address as she could then forward them to me? The reply I got then was GO AWAY. Other nasty little replies via email also came. I have copies of all of these for the Authorities. They then just would not respond to emails and hung-up the telephone when I called.

A t this point I'm really really worried. I check my bank account and nothing has been debited so I calm down a little.

I decided to report this company to various consumer groups in the States.
Moving on a few days to 3rd October 2008. I get a call from Barclays Bank they believe my card has been used fraudulently. It has. One transaction to LastMinute.com for $900 and another small transaction to a company called Michael Torrents possibly a dry cleaning company.
This is way too much of a coincidence my bank agrees with me and will investigate the company.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY - THEY'RE CRIMINALS.

They also have a sister website called GlassesExpo do not buy from these guys either.

I would be very interested in finding out more info on these guys and which local police department in Brooklyn to contact to lodge a formal criminal complaint against them.

This company needs shutting down ASAP and I would be prepared to spend a lot of money in making sure this happens and that individuals go to prison.

Thanks,

John
