May 1,2007 I ordered a chandelier (and extra chain) from a very helpful representative. I was told that the item was on backorder until May 20th.
On June 1, 2007 I made my first phone call to get the status on my order. I was told that it was still on backorder and that a Decorating etc. representative would call the manufacturer of the item and get back to me. I was never contacted.
I called every month thereafter and talked to Mary, Sherri, Robert, Tracie, and Marie (ficticious names)? Nobody could/would give me an answer about when I would get my chandelier, but I was always promised that they would check into it and get back to me. They never called back. I also left numerous messages on the customer service voicemail with the expectation, according to their recording, that my inquiry would get a response within 48 hours. I was NEVER contacted.
By this time over sixty days had passed, I had already paid my credit card bill (that I charged the item on), and I was informed by my credit card company that they could not get my money refunded.
I continue to try to contact the company and all I get are recordings. It is now April 21, 2008. I lost my $1473. I hope someone can do something about this company. I really need my money back.
Please don't fall for this scam. This is absolute FRAUD and THEFT. I have since found a web site that others are reporting the same scenarios with this same company. They need to be shut down and sued!
