Complaint Review: Decorators Model Homes

I was delivered a damaged hutch that is part of the fairmont college dining room set over a year ago and was promised, via email and telephone, a replacement.
Here is the first email and Mel's response:

Mel,
The furniture came today and we love it, just one problem. The hutch is damaged with a crack on the left rear side. I hate to complain, especially since we had great success with the bedroom furniture, but I was wondering if you, Watkins, or Marlboro transportation could do anything.

Well, the repairman came and apparently it was too expensive for Mel. Here is the email from his assistant:

Brenda Childers to me
5/25/05

have spoken with the repairman regarding your hutch and
then spoke with Mel. It may be better for us to replace
the piece.

Mel would like you to make pictures of the damages
and send to him at decorfurn@aol.com.
