My employer, Oklahoma Department of Human Services, used to have a wonderfully helpful EAP (Employee Assistance Program). They changed providers in January 2017  to Deer Oaks EAP. It is a remarkably terrible service. First, when you call, you talk to someone on the other side of the world (I called twice and talked to someone in Lisbon and another time in India). The representatives have a rough time with English, asking you to spell simple words over and over. Instead of setting you up with a face-to-face counseling visit, they try to take care of it on the phone. If you don't say exactly the right things, you'll get denied service. They have a website with a plethora of nothing...things you could Google-up for yourself in seconds. What a joke! It appears to me that any company or organization using Deer Oaks EAP is not serious about provided EAP services to its employees, but just wants to be able to say that they have something for employees.
