Defcon Servers was a good company for the first month that I was renting a Ventrilo voice server from them, but as of late, this company seems to care more about getting new customers than those that are already paying for their services.

I logged onto my computer today to realise that the Ventrilo server I have been renting for the past month was down. At first, I was going to access the control panel I was provided in order to reset the server, but it tells me that my password is incorrect. I click the "Recover Your Password" link, and to my surprise, it gives me another message, "The user name is not valid". So now I attempt to login to their support center to submit a support ticket, and wouldn't you know it, I am unable to login to this area either.

So now I attempt to contact them via email. The support email provided (support@defconservers.com) was disabled for some reason or another, and my email provider sent the message back to me with this message attached.

"This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

I then placed a call to their 1-800 number (1-800-998-3108), which told me to either login to their support center to submit a support ticket or contact their support center via email (support@defconsers.com). This, of course, failed again as I sent a second message to them.

As I have been unable to contact them through all of their provided customer support areas, I have sent a message to their sales email (sales@defconservers.com). I know that this email is for pre-sales purposes only, but I cannot contact them any other way. I have also stated to them that I will be filing this rip-off report until this situation is resolved.

Mr. Dale submitted a cancel request on 12/30/2008 which is highlighted below. The request was processed on 1/01/2009 per his wishes. Once a cancel request is processed the account is closed which is why the login no longer worked. I checked our logs and do not show any phone messages from Mr. Dale or emails to either address outlined. We believe this to be resolved. I have personally emails Mr. Dale concerning this issue to see if we could be of further assistance in any way and await a reply back.
