My story is like many others who has worked for one of these cydcor companies. It all started out the same with the interviews that tell you nothing about what you are getting yourself into and the day of o and also asking questions about what you are going to be doing and not receiving any straight answers.

Basically I just wanted to warn anyone who is with or interviewing with Defrancesco Acquistions which is now located in Pennsauken NJ. This is one of the worst jobs anyone could ever have and the owner, Dave Defrancesco is the scum of the earth. I have never met a bigger liar in my life. This is what he does for a living, he misleads people. I'm not quite sure how he sleeps at night.

The first month of working there wasn't that bad, at least I was making some money but I always found it very strange everyone thought Dave was like a prodigy child or something. "You have talk to Dave to get ahead" everyone said. He always said the same stuff and frankly none of the information was helpful. You could not talk about negatives which is weird because in most jobs people discuss the bad things that happen to help each other. Say I made no money that day and someone said, How was your day, I would have to say, great!! That was weird.

Anyway back to Dave. We were doing AT&T sales and I just started to get the hang of it and make some money, then we change to Verizon and go on salary. Now I'm making like 400 dollars a week after taxes for a 60 hr work week. It was terrible but good old Dave kept telling us this is gonna be big money when commissions kick in. It could have been good money because selling verizon was cake compared to AT&T. For some reason two months later still no commission and we're still hearing this "as soon as commissions kick in" bull s***.

When asked about it he didn't know what to say and he started ramble on and on about great knew opportunities doing different campaigns. Bottom line, there were not going to be commissions for Verizon so everyone worked theier a** off for no reason. Many people quit and so Dave, the great guy that he is took 200 dollars out of everyones next check saying that for a month he had been overpaying us 60 dollars a week, as if we needed to lose more money. Most of us got our money back because he was scared we were going to do something about it.

Bottom line is that this company is a joke. Most of its long time employees live off their parents or they are in debt. Dave, who claims to have so much money, lives in a crappy apartment with four other employees. That really sounds promising. Everyone who is there should leave. Especially those of you that have been there for years when supposedly it takes 12 months to be owner. Open your eyes!!!

What kind of company has to deceive people in the interviewing process to get people to work there. Do you really want to lie and manipulate people for living? Even if you did make good money which I've found out that no owner makes six figures. I could go on all day. Glad I'm gone!!

DeFraud couldnt cut it! he rolled a big donut :)
I remember the good ol days, where I first met him, I thought he was the son of the owner and not the owner. And then after seeing thirty people walking out of the door, I thought there was like 20 offices in that suite.....only to find one ! Did i throw my money down the drain! I stayed in the company for four pathetic months. I was not a quitter, and looking back at the situation I wish i was. I remember one time staying for a meeting till 12 in the morning! and then had to drive back to Philly from NJ. I was also given a territory that was given by somebody else the previous month! no wonder I couldnt ring the retarded pavlov's salivating bell. My territory was about an hour and a half away! Insane. I remember the day I quit. It was one of the most uplifting and liberating times. I was eating at a nice restaurant located within that hour and a half from the office location, drinking champagne and thinking f'ck this, im quitting! and never returned to hear pavlov's response. what was to be expected? that Defraud would let everyone else know that I couldnt cut it....which really meant that I was better than him, and his pathetic company.
Looking back at it, I really feel sorry for all of us who wasted our precious time, energy and money. I am supposed to be compensated for working, not paying for it. Hey Dave its called KARMA fool!

I worked for Defran Aquisitions two years ago and can honestly say that everyone's comments are accurate. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME INTERVIEWING WITH ONE OF THESE PLACES. Also, similiar shops are still open in the area or were the area and moved on:

Empire Marketing (White Plains, NY)

Peerless Marketing Concepts (Cherry Hill, NJ)
--Note how they do not accurately portray compensation {Compensation: 30,000-40,000/yr}
MC Marketing Solutions (Philadelphia, PA)
MG International (Cincinatti, Ohio)

The Aflac Mystery

#49UPDATE EX-employee responds

Tue, June 27, 2006

It kind of doesn't matter anymore, but now that I have left the 7th circle of hell (guess where) for a job at Aflac, I now know why Aflac was always promised and never came in. If I was the Aflac rep for this group, I would be EXTREMELY hesistant to sign up a bunch of, no offense, essentially kids for insurance that pulls from a paycheck if I worked on commission. That rep had to know the turnover rate (99.9%) at DeFran. I imagine she worked a lot for nothing just like we did.

"W" I have read your reply on this posting and I have a few comments for you. First and foremost please realize this specific posting is to discuss David Defrancesco and all his bad dusiness practices under the "Cydor" parent company blanket.

You choose to put a rebuttal supporting the deceptive business in a category surrounding the major topics of David Defrancesco of Defrancesco Acquisitions.

One more thing, I was in the same place where you are now. When I sat in nice black leather chair while all the reps were out in the field I would read these posts and not believe what they were saying, I would look at the owners who told me how much money they making and I believed them.
I worked with Gary Polson, Jim Majeski, John Wiggins and Matt Osbourne. They are all people that I am sure you look up to in the business. I know how strong the hold is that is on you right now. All I am suggesting is to look, really truly look at the the people that choose to leave the company. I say choose to leave not "couldnt cut it, or lost their work ethic" like you so elegantly put it in your previous postings.
I am sure you know people that have left the business, I am sure that while they were in the business they were even your friends. But I am also sure that once they "Choose to leave the company" they were no longer your friends.
Did you parents actually raise you to think that way? Have you ever thought about how the parents of owners read these postings and what they think about their sons who are making money but making at other peoples expenses? ow would your parents feel if they read a thread like this one and it listed all the misdealings that go on in a Cydcor business. No matter how much you make and if you buy your parents all they want, you will still be breaking thier heart becasue deep down tey know what your doing is no good to anyone else other than you. Were you punished as a child that all you can think about is that your way is right and even one else is wrong or could " not cut it."

I do hope that you are fresh out of college, and that you are the only one you are hurting by pursuing this business. Please dont hurt a family member or a loved one by bringing them into this business with you. Trust me even if you do make it, you will never truly be happy. Money does not solve all the pains in your heart you will have one day when you remember how you treated "those who could not cut it, or lost their work ethic."

If you choose to continue to support the business you are in, please do it in a professional manor. Represent your company with dignity and do not try to discrace those, who you say "could not cut it." When ever you get to open your own 3 room office and hire an administrator, dont allow others to treat people and make them feel bad just to support your ideas and beliefs.
Please get educated on the real business world. One thing you said in your last posting was true, the 4s 5s and 8s actually do work in the real world. Now put those tactics to work with a reputable company and an honest and non deceptive company and you will be truly happy.

Pleae look into other oppurtunities and try to better your life. I wish you the best, but again please do not post in a topic that is specificaly designed to talk about Defrancesco Acquisitions.

Thank you,

W, you crack me up. You bought into it hook, line and sinker despite reading hundreds of complaints between here and if you went to DSMax the Aftermath, especially there.

Millionaire's Row my eye. Have you listened to some of the managers explain how they had their business taken away from them for what they claim is no apparant reason?

The company promises you the world, makes it sound so easy, then slaps you around.

Do you have a mortgage? Do you have a spouse and family? Do you have good credit? Well not for long if you stay with this company.

Does your manager live in an apartment with 6 other people and drive a junker? Does he claim it's because he's saving money for his mansion when it's because he can't afford anything better?

I read a post like yours and I hope beyond all hopes that you are between 18 and 21 and just a bit naive.

I wonder, after Cydcor chews you up and spits you out, if you will be man (or woman) enough to come back on here and admit that you were wrong. I do hope so. I love to see someone that finally sees the light.

Do you think these hundreds of people are all just jealous hacks that couldn't make it? Thousands of companies lose thousands of people each year and you don't see constant ripoff reports about those companies all saying the same negative things.

Hello to all the complainers,
Reading your various complaints and attacks against Cydcor is just fuel to my fire. I am a leader and I know that I am going to make it, and that's all because I work hard. I work my butt off each day to hit my goals, and that's all it takes. It looks like the rest of you just lost your work ethic pretty early. You certainly lost your attitude, which is a trait that no "employer" is looking for. But if you want to work in an employer/employee setting, this isn't the place for you anyway.
As far as this "brainwash" business goes, you can take it as you want, but it all makes sense. The 4's, 5's, and 8's work. They work for me on a daily basis. Laugh it up, sure; however, I am going to be the one laughing from millionare's row. On that same note, however, I won't be laughing b/c I am better than you since we are a people heling people business. I will be laughing because I worked harder and made it.

Thanks!

I worked for a cydcor pyrimid in Baltimore and I went on "business trips" to NJ to Dave's office. What a joke... "business trips" that _I_ paid for. This whole business is a joke. But just to let everyone know, DeFran is still shut down but his partner is running Peerless Prom. out of the same space. Same company, different mgmt. For the record, the new manager is a much more ethical person who I believe does have a lot of integrity, however, he still can't change the fact that it is a cydcor scam company just the same.

I used to be brainwashed like all the rest of the people who post about these companies. I thought that this was the best opportunity EVER and that I was going to be owning my own company just like Dave and my manager. What I didn't figure out until way too late was that I am not the type of person who can live my life lying to people and thriving on manipulating outhers. If you are able to sleep at night and look at yourself in the mirror in the morning knowing that you are a slimy shady dishonest person, then this is the perfect company for you.

I never really realized how many people there are out there who are able to be so unethical but I have been to all the cydcor rallys and I have met them all. At first I remember thinking "wow, look at all these young motivated sucessful people" and now I just feel sorry for them and wonder how they live with themselves.

Defrancesco is still operating out of the same office under the name 'Peerless Marketing'

#49Consumer Suggestion

Tue, December 13, 2005

I ran across and ad on Monster that REEKED of that cydcor and since I was dumb enough to interview at Defrancesco once, I thought the address looked familiar. Sure enough, same phone # same address, same monster ads....= same company. He may or may not be running it, but I'm betting that it's the same door to door sales job as before.
I feel bad for those people brainwashed by companies like this, I have been in sales for years and laughed my way out of the office after Dave told me that I was INVITED to come and spend a day working (aka second interview) from 8-5. A good rule of thumb for sales jobs is that if they are 100% commission based from day one- no salary, no draw against commissions, nothing..it's not worth your time. If they have so little confidence in you and their product of service that they won't back it up with $$$$- keep looking. You may one day become 100% commission paid- but if that is all that is offered in the beginning, it's not worth it.
Good luck to those stuck in these companies, I hope you realize before you are ruined.

Dave's Response = I love the fact that his "company" is shut down.

#49UPDATE EX-employee responds

Thu, December 08, 2005

Hey everyone. I worked for Defran for about two months. What i find funny is Dave's response. He can't even write a complete sentence. Did anyone notice how poor his writing was? He didn't really learn much at St. Joe's. I love how he says that he made "six figures". 1000.00 a year is technically "six figures". Do you notice how in the day of O they won't let you say "one hundred thousand"? Just another little trick that Dave uses.

I love the fact that his "company" is shut down. I also find it amusing that i make more than he does right now. I also own about ten suits...more than the four that Dave always wore. One day he cried in a meeting about how his father never had to work again.....i bet that he is calling his dad right now asking for money. Good job Dave....you deserve what you got!! I hope to see you on the street one day...make sure you put your hands up!!!

Questions about Dave's old offices

#49Consumer Comment

Wed, November 23, 2005

To all ex employees that have posted on this board.......

For all the ex-employees of Dave, what stories did he ever say about his office in Pittsburgh, and Orange County???? Did he ever tell you guys about his previous assistant mangers that he had taken money off of? I really wonder if he shared stories about Orange County? Does everyone know that he was shut down in Orange County also?? He was forced, not asked, too go on a retrain with Matt Osbourne.

I know it is hard for all the old assistant mangers to speak about their stories but I know what they all went through and it was sad. I had witnessed what went on at the Orange County office and I feel very sorry for the 8 people that Dave had living in one apartment, he would not pay for electric or Gas, I know that one of them had to fit his bed in a closet and use it as a room. One girl had her bed and desk in the living room and had no privacy what so ever. Dave had promised all of them a place to stay and that crappy apartment is what he meant! They had some furniture and a kegarator in the living room. Two of "Dave Employees" got their cars broken into and everything stolen while at home, ofcourse Dave had nothing to do to help these guys out. Also I find it funny in all the postings, that one thing is always the same. Dave always had someone who would drive him around.

Dave would always take his "next assistant manager" outside and talk to him at night, so the rest of those guys could not hear that they were talking about them. Orange County was a very shady situation and anyone who knows what Dave had said about that experience should speak up and let others know that their hard work was in vain.

Why Dave is Really Gone

#49Consumer Suggestion

Wed, November 23, 2005

To all the readers of this Dave Catagory. It has been asked why Dave was fired. The answer is pretty simple. He was fired manily becasue of false representation on Monster.com. He was advertising that his false jobs were paying base salaries. He would advertise that a beginning rep was salaried at 30K, which we all know is false.

Becasue of the pressure that some people have put on Monster to make sure their postings are put on properly, they contacted Cydcor and told them about Dave. Avie and Gary Polson were instrumental in making sure this happened. The first slap on the wrist that happened was that Dave was no longer able to advertise on Monster. What he tried to do then was have his "Partner" who shared office space with him, post job descriptions under the partners name and split the expense. Needless to say Cydcor caught on and slapped him on the wrist again.

Monster was the beginning on the end for Dave. Once they started looking into his business they saw that he had ruined the lives of 3 previous assistant managers, two that he tried to have open up offices in Orange County California. His "Management" tactics were always in question. Once he was put under the microscope it was shown why he needed to be let go from the company.

He is telling everyone that he knows that he left the company becasue he got tired of working so hard. He is now taking realestate classes and try to sell realestate. If anyone on this bulletin knows Dave, really he is not a bad person, but the business amde him deceptive and cruel to those that were around him. Hopefully everyone takes this as a lesson to what the corporate culture of this business does to good people. I feel sorry for Dave and all the assistant managers that were ruined in the tactics of Daves business plan.

Hopefully Dave has learned and grown from his mistakes and hopefully all that read this will see how great, young and ambitious people get ruined by this type of business.

I am an ex-employee of one of a cydcor office. And when I read these reports I find a lot of truth, there are also many lies. It's true that the position makes you work many hours and teaches to keep a positive attitude. But it's not brainwashing or anything else that keeps being used to describe the company. Notice I said, the position makes you, not the manager, or some "jedi" mind tricks that someone stated. Any successful people that run companies work a lot of hours unless it was their family business that was handed down or something. I gained valuable sales skills and made many friends from the position, I just realized that personally I wasn't cut out to do it long term and I'm not angry that I tried it because it gave me great experience to put on a resume, which is a lot more than when I started right out of school.

Does anybody know when and why DeFran was shut down by Cydcor? I drove by his apartment in mid-July, and no one's car was there- not his, Leslie's, Mike's, or Jeremy's, so I guess it happened sometime around then. I think it's important to talk about the reasons Cydcor terminated his office so that people who used to work for him can get a sense of closure, finally knowing that DeFran got what he deserved! Also, it will help people who are thinking about working for another Cydcor office to know 100 percent that it is a scam. Knowing exactly what kind of shady practices are used by Cydcor owners will carry a lot more weight than just reading all of our complaints.

I would also like to know if any of you that had worked for DeFran for a long time (Leslie, Jeremy, Mike, Pat, Miguel, Paul, etc.) are out there- it would be interesting to hear some of your stories now that you're not under DeFran's thumb. You guys could also come over to the Aftermath board, there are a lot of us there, too.

On another note, Dave AKA NO. G is not Gerry and I know that for a fact. Another thing is NO talked about all the same things that dave talked about. I know its you Dave.

Gerry did not write that. I know who it was. Maybe you can't figure out who it is because you treated so many people badly you don't know which story is being told.

Hey "NO", here's why...

#49UPDATE EX-employee responds

Fri, March 25, 2005

If you remember reading my report, you would know the answer to your question of why I didnt quit sooner...I had left my other job for DeFran. This locked me in, because I needed to work to support myself and pay my bills, and I had no time to look for another job because I was leaving my house at 5:45 every morning and not returning till after 9:00 each evening. I had no choice but to continue working until I banked a few hundred bucks to get me through the job search!! (which was not easy since I was making $500/week BEFORE TAXES and spending like $100 just on gas alone).

It is not that I am unable to put the experience behind me...I post on these sites so that others will have the opportunity to learn what they will be getting themselves into BEFORE they accept the postion. Had I even once googled the company DeFrancesco Acquisitions or Cydcor, I would have come up with a million and one posts all over the internet about the company, and it would have saved me a lot of time, money, effort, (and the good job that I left might I add). That is my fault I will admit, I was niave and did not do my own research. But now I post on these sites like many others with the hope that if we can get the word out in enough places, it will provide people who do the research first with enough information to have all the facts before accepting any position with Cydcor. If they are still interested, fine. Some people do make it, and maybe they will too. I wish them luck. But is only fair that they have both sides of the story since they are being told for 12 hours a day how wonderful their new job is and how lucky they are to have the opportunity. People like us can tell them first hand our opinions too.

You must be the only one who know what your days were going to be like!

#49UPDATE EX-employee responds

Wed, March 23, 2005

First off, gas is NOT a tax write-off! Saving your gas receipts will not do you any good as it cannot be determined how much of your gas was used for business v. personal travel. I double-checked this with my accountant. FYI- you can use any other business expenses such as interview lunches, crew nights, etc. as write-ffs as well. Did you ever receive a mileage log? That's the only thing you can use as a tax write-off. I'm sure you didn't though because, as DeFran would say, "Why do you need a mileage log if you're not planning on being in the field forever?" Well, you do need one, especially if your territory is in Trenton or Wilmington like mine was.

The hours weren't a problem for me. In fact, I'm accustomed to working long hours, but usually for a little more than $500 a week. Did I kill it in the field every day? Nope. Did I bust my a*s trying to kill it in the field every day? Yup. Did I sometimes see over 100 businesses in a single day and roll a donut? Definetly. Did that stop me from busting my a*s the next day? Definetly not.

Why didn't I leave sooner? Well, the opportunity (don't you remember the 8 great work habits????) was a huge reason. Why in the world I would be so naive to believe someone would give me my own marketing "firm" is beyond me, but obviously the brainwashing had something to do with it.

As for putting the past behind me, that's kind of difficult to do when I'm still in the middle of trying to get everything straightened out like it was before I starting working for that sorry excuse for a company known as DeFrancesco Acquisitions. 2 months may not sound like a long time, but anyone who was in the business knows it's a very long time. Aside from all the problems surrounding my accident, working for DeFran was a serious mindfu*k, and I'm still angry about being taken advantage of. The only reason I continue to respond to these postings is because I hope that someone who is thinking of going on an interview or who has just started working for DeFran will read what I write and get out NOW. It's a horrible company, and Dave is a liar. The next time he tells you he makes six figures, remember that he wears the same four suits, drives an old Prelude, and lives in an apartment with Leslie, Mike, and Jeremy. Can't someone who makes six figures afford a couple more suits, a nicer car, and his own apartment? Think twice about all the lies he's feeding you. The next time he tells you you'll be in management within 12 months, think of Leslie, Jeremy, Mike, Paul, Andrea, and Christina who have all been in the field for over a year. Are any of them in management? Do they even still work there as I post this report? If they've wised up and left Dave, take the hint and do the same!

Hey Me. knew exactly what my days were going to be

#49UPDATE EX-employee responds

Wed, March 23, 2005

Hey Me, I understand that you think you were cheated because of gas and medical. I'm sorry that whoever took you out on your 2nd interview didn't tell you that gas was a tax writeoff. Did you ask Dave in your final interview, or only G on your 2nd interview? I know that I was given the correct info on my 2nd interview and knew exactly what my days were going to be like. I also told every interview that asked me about my hours what the company hours were.

So, once you knew about the hours (pretty much the same in any company that does sales) and about gas, why didn't you leave sooner? It just sounds like you are angry that things didn't happen the way you planned and you are looking for a scapegoat. Hey, pretty much everyone who has left the business was upset that things didn't work out the way they planned INCLUDING myself. I think that everyone gets upset when things don't go as planned. But when things don't go the way you want, you get upset for a bit and move on with your life. That's it. Put the past behind you.

As far as the AFLAC people are concerned, it's the same as the Verizon situation. Dave doesn't control if the AFLAC reps were going to visit. I do know that they have said that they would visit every quarter now and they have visited about 3 or 4 times.

Anyways, I'm not trying to slam you or piss you off, I just want to make sure that your claims are valid and not made out of anger. And I am not affiliated to Cydcor in any way nor am I "PRO-Cydcor". I am anonymous for the same reason that you are.

So, continue to be angry at me for telling it like it is, or the company for "cheating" you, but maybe you should just move on. Aren't you like 23 or 24 and weren't you only in the business like 2 months? Did those 2 months ruin your life? Get over it.

When you went on your day of O, you were told that you would be "working a full day"...leading one to believe that this was exactly what a day of work would be like, leading you to believe your days would be 9-5 JUST LIKE your day of O. Too bad when we were all hired, our days became 7:00 to 6:30. Too bad when I asked questions about gas and mileage I was told it was taken care of, only to find out later that all it was was a measley tax write-off. Not being given straight answers is being cheated, because none of us had any idea what we were getting ourselves into until it was too late because we had already left our other jobs to pursue a position at DeFran.

Another thing...nobody could answer my questions about health coverage, which I was promised during my interview!! I asked employees how they liked it, and most said they didnt use it (probably cause it was never offered). Dave promised week in and week out that the Afflack guy was coming any day now...He never came!!!!!

All I'm saying is that although it was our decision to leave when we wanted, had I been given straight answers when I applied, I never would have went on a Day of O or a first day cause I would have known what I was getting in to. Being lied to and having legitimate concerns and questions evaded during an interview is just not my opinion of ethical behavior. And its not necessarily DeFrans fault (although a grown man should have more of a conscience than to only do what he is taught). It's the nature of the business, all DS-Max, Cydcor, etc. companies do the exact same thing. Other people have the right to know this. Sure, they can make really good money on Verizon or whatever campaign they are on. But they also need to know that they are not reimbursed for gas, mileage, food for interviews, and their days WILL BE 7-7, not 9-5.

And "NO" why wont you give your name if you are so Pro-Cydcor? We dont give our for obvious reasons...maybe you dont give yours cause you are someone important to Cydcor or Dave and defending the business while pretending you are just another cow who didnt cut it?

Why all the anger?? I used to work there and I saw lots of people come and lots of people go

#49UPDATE EX-employee responds

Mon, March 21, 2005

Wow! There are a lot of angry people on this site. Why? I used to work there and I saw lots of people come and lots of people go. Most of the people reporting on this site were pretty sharp individuals who shouldn't have any trouble finding another job, so why all the fuss about DeFran? It's not a cult. Come on, get real. Dave doesn't run around saying "Come drink my fruit punch and you'll become an owner!" No way! Dave gives people an opportunity and shows them what he did and how he made it. That's it! He tells you the possibilities and shows you what he did to make it himself. He brought out the best in most of you and showed you how to work hard.

Now, you are all mad because you feel cheated. Who cheated you? IF you were GUARANTEED to run an office when Dave offered you all the position, then hell yeah you would have been cheated. But you WEREN'T GUARANTEED ANYTHING but a teritory, sales material, a place to work, and an opportunity. It was up to all of you to make something happen with that. There are people here that got so d**n close to making it but they still didn't. G, I thought you had it man, but I guess you didn't forsee things getting hard. You can't appreciate the good times without seeing some bad times. As far as Verizon goes, hey, I was pissed too. But it wasn't Dave's fault that Verizon didn't drop any commissions until January. When they were dropped, they were SICK! The average person was making like $150-200 per day. THE AVERAGE PERSON!! There was one girl who made like $2,000 each week for like 2-3 weeks. Anyways, Dave was just telling everyone what Verizon told him, so don't kill the messenger and say he mislead you. Now, things are better and Verizon has started to take care of everyone but none of you were around to see any of that.

Anyways, if the business wasn't for you, who cares. It might be for someone else who is looking for exactly what the business offers. You all talk about Dave ruining peoples' lives, but you guys could all be preventing other people like G who came in and made like $3-4k each month for his first couple months. Unfortunately, the business wasn't for him but when things were going well for him, he was all about the business. Finally, things started to fall apart, and suddenly, he hates the business.

None of you talk about the good stuff about the business, only the bad. Every business in the world has things about them that people don't like. Just look at this website and check out some of the businesses in here: Microsoft, GE, JP Morgan, Chase Financial, etc. These are multi-billion dollar companies and the leaders of the corporate world, but they're still listed in here. Even the great Better Business Bureau is listed. Would any of you NOT work at one of these companies because they are listed here? Hell no! So, why bash this company? Because you feel like you were promissed something when you weren't and eventually realized that this was not the business for you?

What about all the great people that work there? I've never worked at a place that had as many sharp, young, fun and ambitious people as this job. I'm worried that I never will again! Now, I'm NOT in love with the business or anything, and I didn't make it, but it wasn't Dave's fault that I didn't make it. I didn't apply things I learned fast enough and ended up having to leave. I'm not mad and I'm not bitter. It's just time for me to move on. So why don't you all stop slamming this business that you DON'T WORK AT ANYMORE, and focus your energies on your lives now? Remember everyone, Dave never forced ANY of you to stay and allowed ALL of you to leave at your leisure. If you didn't like working there anymore, why didn't you leave sooner?

I worked with you also at Defran and posted before on this thread. I am posting again because its really insulting to see Dave's post and how he trys to act like the "good guy". We are smarter than that. All those people that left wasted their lives there, half of them moved across the country for Dave!! I congratulate them all, I worked with them but left before the big fall-out and have not spoken to them since.

I want people to know that no matter what Dave posts, what he says, or what your leader says, NONE OF IT IS TRUE!!! They might actually believe it, but thats only cause all of them are having their minds controlled by a cult, along with the warped perception of success and power (really just ruining the lives of others though). And the money may be good now...but all over the internet you can read how Cydcor, DS-Max, etc. led people into bankruptcy.

Let me ask something to all the owners out there...How does it feel to know that you have financially and morally ruined the lives of thousands of innocent people out there?? You preyed on their dreams and turned them into your own. You pretended you cared, but all you cared about was padding your pockets because Cydcor/DS-Max had run your own finances dry. So now you are doing the same to others? Good plan guys, hope you all sleep well tonight.

One more thing...wonder what "Sugarbear" will think of the post about hitting on your employees and trying to make them come home with you...or maybe she is as niave as we all were when we fell for your crap.

So Glad I'm Out Congrats to all who have left this awful mind game and good luck in future endevors!

First I wanted to reply to Amanda, I started there in November, I assume that was after you left.I wanted to let you know that Leslie did finally quit Defran, As a matter of fact last time I heard so did Mark, Alex, Kyle, Miguel, Pat, Mighty, Gerry, and Paul.

I have a friend that still works there and said that in typical Dave fashion he claimed the cause of all of these people quiting was that they couldnt "see the oppritunity" and couldnt "cut it".

I wish I had found this site and the many others before I agreed to take a position there, Defran really did set me back months and I am still trying to dig out of the mess that was left of my finances. All my friends and family saw right through the pyramid scheme that is Defrancesco Aquisitions. But I was so caught up in "seeing the oppritunity" that I didnt listen to them.

After I was promoted to "Leader" I really got to see the mind games that Dave has prefected over the years. By being Mr. Nice guy to the new guys and spewing on and on about all the finacial freedom and oppritunity, afterward he would have his Leaders Meeting where he would chew us all out and talk Sh*t about the new guys that wernt prefroming well enough.

He really is quite a snake in the respect that he is cout to increase he own bank account with complete disregard of the young kids that he ruins along the way. I also found out that one blonde female employee is doing a certain blue eyed Sr.National Consultant National. Hmm wonder why she hasnt quit.

And one more sketchy incident... After a happy hour in Philly, Dave offered to drive me home, During the ride he got to friendly for my taste and tryed to get me to go back to his apartment because his roomates were all away and he was "lonely".

After I said no he even took the exit toward his place by "accident" saying Oops I guess you'll have to come over now... what a slime. Well Congrats to all who have left this awful mind game and good luck in future endevors!

I hope you guys are all doing well. Not talking about negatives that is just what being successful is all about. Is finding the solution to a task and not dwelling on the problem. No one had to do anything. The only have to do in this world is die and pay taxes. Successful people are just positive I hope you understand that. The commissions on Verizon have been here for a while now and they are nice. Your right I said alot of things over and over again its not hard to run an office. We just promoted an manger a few weeks ago and they have been working here for less than 9 months.

The $60 per day per of every single rep I didn't take out of checks not because I am scared.
Because it is the right thing to do I ate all of it. Gerry Guzman all of the things you said about me are sad, but you had it right in front of you management, everything. Gerry I make over six figures. Gerry you didn't talk about all of the money I loaned you or the thousand dollars per week you made over the summer. I wish everyone well and I hope you find something that makes you happy.

Thank you

DeFran is VERY good at hiding things

#49UPDATE EX-employee responds

Tue, January 18, 2005

I've heard/been told by several people, both on here as well as on the Aftermath board, that Dave is very good at hiding information about himself and his companies, that's why I post on here. People who go on an interview with DeFrancesco Acquisitions have no idea what they're about to get into, and it's almost impossible for them to find information on the company, so people like us need to keep posting to give them the information they need to make an educated decision.

Also, I read somewhere (either here or the Aftermath) that if people complain to monster.com and careerbuilder.com, the company gets a fine and is unable to use the service for 3 months. Everyone should send an email to these job-seeker sites to let them know what a fraud these Cydcor companies are, and hopefully, if they're recruiting can be slowed down, not as many people will have to have their lives temporarily ruined. Another thing that I would suggest is to contact your local news channels that have an undercover team- if they decide to investigate, the entire area will know what a fraud the company is.

To Melanie- unfortunately, Leslie will never leave Dave, even though I told her that he told my mom she didn't have the potential and wasn't working hard enough to reach her potential. I wish she would leave, but she's too brainwashed. She really is a nice girl, and it's a shame that she's wasting her life with such a bad "company."

Defrancesco is a scam

#49UPDATE EX-employee responds

Amanda, you don't know me but I know of you because Leslie told me about you. In fact before all of that stuff happened with your mom ( which I found to be extremely funny, I loved every second of Dave being scared) she used to tell me you were coming back. When your mom showed up I think that she was shocked. I hope that she leaves soon because she's a really nice girl. I must have came right after you left.

I'm glad your mom was outside with that sign. I should have stood out there with her. The truth is that I never believed in that so called "business". I just needed a job and for a while I made good money and it was good sales experience. I knew it was a scam and i know Dave does not make anything near what he claims to make. I just feel sorry for all of the people that have waisted years of their lives chasing a dream that will never really come true.

I'm sorry for what happened to you. I could go on forever about that place. If you know any interesting stories I would love to hear them. I just had to write stuff on this website about Dave's Pennsauken office because there wasn't anything about it on the internet so that interviews could look it up

Look forward to hearing back

I worked with YOU!!!

#49UPDATE EX-employee responds

Hey, G...I worked with you in that horrible excuse for a company. I would love to know your identity and somewhere in this message I make a hint at it. I know you are an intellegent person to have seen through that scam eventually, so hopefully you will see my direct reference to you in my message.

SO, still no commissions, huh? Not suprising. I was ripped off by that "overpayed you so now I want my money back" bullcrap...guess what?? I received final paychecks after leaving which were short because I was "OVERPAID". Besides that, they also "dont have a record of me working" on days which I sold Verizon Lines and can prove it!!! I was told "thats why role calls so important". And I am seriously thinking of filing an upaid wages suit with the Dept of Labor (already contacted them), because for a 60 hr. work week, with that money taken out of my check and the unpaid days I was paid less than minimum wage. Sounds like a serious problem for poor Dave.

Curious though as to who you are. I have a pretty good idea cause me and another ex-slave (note that I refuse to call us employes because employees are PAID)raked our brains and could only come up with one person we thought you might be. My deer if this is you, please let me know. I have your # still and would love to contact you. If not please leave me some hope as to guessing who you are!!!

I also used to work for DeFran

#49UPDATE EX-employee responds

Wed, January 12, 2005

I worked for DeFran from the beginning of August until mid-September when I got into a really bad car accident in the field in my wonderful territory in DE. Do I know you? Whose team were you on? I was on Leslie's. I'm sure I know who you are because I worked the AT&T campaign. I guess you probably want to remain anonymous, but did you just buy a house with your long-time girlfriend (if you did, then I know who you are).

I didn't really think DeFran was that bad of a guy until after my accident. He gave me a lot of trouble in mailing out my last paycheck and filling out my disability forms. He didn't even file a workman's compensation claim for me! Until my mom showed up, that is. She met with him to return my binder, and then she camped out front, telling all the people coming in for interviews what a scam DeFran was. She even had a huge sign that read "DeFrancesco=SCAM" that she put on the windshield of her car in the parking lot! The first night she was there, he apparently had Erin call everyone to meet up at Top Dog instead so they wouldn't run into her! Another ex-employee told me that he told everyone my mom was just "looking for a handout" and that she was angry because "I couldn't cut it!" What other kind of response would you expect from DeFran! LOL! There is a much more detail report on the DS-Max site that I wrote- look up that post to get my email address if you want so we can exchange horror stories! LOL!

Anyway, you should check out the DS-MAX the Aftermath website. It's really helpful for people who just get out of Cydcor, and there are several other people who worked for DeFran on there. The website is http://groups.msn.com/DSMAXTheAftermath

DAVE DEFRANCESCO- I KNOW YOU READ THESE RIPOFF REPORTS ABOUT YOURSELF- YOU REALLY ARE THE SCUM OF THE EARTH, AND YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOUR "BUSINESS" AND THEY WAY YOU MANIPULATE AND BRAINWASH YOUR EMPLOYEES! ANY CURRENT EMPLOYEES OF DEFRANCESCO ACQUISITIONS, INC. SHOULD TAKE THESE REPORTS SERIOUSLY, I WISH I HAD INSTEAD OF LISTENING TO MY LEADER ABOUT THEM BEING NOTHING BUT B.S.- WE'RE NOT JUST A BUNCH OF COWS WHO "COULDN'T CUT IT," BUT WE SAW THE LIGHT AND GOT OUT! YOU SHOULD, TOO!
