I paid hefty fees to have three car payments deferred during the holiday seasons. The last payment coupon is left blank and you are asked to call for your final payment amount.

I called the bank to see what the final payment amount would be. To my horror I was told that I owed almost $300 in "simple interest" on the payments I had deferred, in addition to the hefty fees I initially had paid.

Had this been made clear when I signed the papers for the deferred payments, I would have politely declined. In addition, they were very arrogant about telling me how they would take me to court and repossess the car for this interest.

I have never had such a horrible experience with purchasing a car before....DELAWARE PLACE BANK IS A TOTAL CONSUMER RIPOFF.
