Before becoming Delivery Wow, the company was actually okay. I used them a few times with no issues. Then they became Delivery Wow and it completely went downhill from there. I first made an order back in February. I received a phone call around the time of delivery from the driver who said he could not find my house. Previously they had never had any problems, and when I order delivery directly from local restaurants, they never have problems, nor does UPS or Fed Ex. This is the only company that can't seem to find my house on my block. In any case, I directed him to it, and when he pulled in my driveway, he got out and began YELLING at me!

"You don't have the address listed, how is anyone suppose to find your house!?"

I was very taken aback because I have never been in a situation where the person who is suppose to be providing a product or service was YELLING at the customer! I calmly stated, "The address number is on the door."

"Where!? Where!? I don't see any numbers! If there are no numbers, how is anyone suppose to find your house!?"

I repeated what I already told him about the address numbers being on all the doors. He continued back and forth with me, him yelling louder and louder, for almost five minutes. He made such a scene that my NEIGHBOR came out of her house and over to my door and pointed out to him the very obvious numbers.

"Right there," she said, "THERE are the address numbers."

She proceeded to point out the same placement on her house and on the neighbor's house on the other side of me. The driver just got silent. Didn't say anything. Didn't apologise. He just took the money out of my hand, and handed me the food and drove off.

I was STUNNED and beyond embarrassed. I told her thank you and went back in. I was still so stunned and put off by what happened, that I didn't even want to eat; my daughter ate most of it. Instead, I tried to email their customer service department about what happened. I never got a reply, so I figured I wouldn't order from them again.

Then came yesterday. It has been roughly seven months since ordering from them and my daughter was feeling tired, so I didn't want to have to drive her anywhere. She kept asking for pizza so I ordered that for her, but I wanted something else for myself, so I decided to browse the menus on delivery wow. I figured after all this time, maybe they got better. My favorite sushi restaurant was listed in their menus so I decided to give it a shot.

I placed my order, and paid by credit card, filling out all of the online information exactly like you would if you were placing any other internet order. In the special instructions for driver I filled out the exact directions to find my house, since that was a problem last time, and requested that a friendly person be sent, or non at all, and emphasised that if I got yelled at like I was last time, that I would simply turn the driver away and cancel my order.

Well, I got a call around delivery time. The person was having trouble finding my address again. I spoke on the phone the EXACT directions I had typed out, and then the driver came right to my house. He was in a yellow pick up truck. Approaching the vehicle, I expressed, "I'm sorry you had trouble. After them having trouble last time, I put the exact directions in the instructions section".

"They didn't give that to me," he replied.

Nice.

Well, he proceeded to take the sushi out of the BACK of his truck; meaning he had kept SUSHI (which should be cold) exposed to the brutal Florida heat during his ride between the restaurant and my house, during the time looking for my house, and apparently during the time to pick up another order because there was another bag of food in the back (hopefully hot food for the customer's sake). I went to give him the tip, and he asked, "I thought you were paying in credit card."

"I did," I said, "The tip is for you."

He immediately pulled back the food. "Oh no, we need an imprint of the card."

Really?? Then what is the point of filling out ALL the card information, including security code, online if they "need" to take that information again? Furthermore, there are reasons why that information is processed electronically these days; it processes once and then the information clears out as soon as it is processed so that NO ONE has information to your card. Requiring imprints is HIGHLY irresponsible of a company and in this day and age with SO MANY dishonest people is HIGHLY unsafe. Luckily I had cash at the house, or I would not have had lunch that day.

"Oh no." I said. "I'll get cash then. I don't give out imprints of my card." So I went inside, got $50, and brought it out to him. He then gave me the food, and left.

When I went inside and opened the food, I sniffed it first to check for rotting since it had been in the heat. There was no smell, even though it was warm. I tasted a little piece to be extra sure. It tasted okay, so I decided it was fine. Baaad move on my part. A few hours later, I threw up everything. Throughout the whole night I was miserable. I threw up again this morning and will likely throw up again this afternoon, based on how upset my stomach still is. If you are handling cold foods, it needs to be kept cool. If not, you are inviting bacteria to thrive, and so now I have food poisoning, which has made me miss work today.

I emailed them again, as this was straight up $50 wasted; completly flushed down the toilet, literally. That's in addition to the money I'm losing today from not being able to work.  And it was because of their mishandling of the food that it happened. I've had sushi at this restaurant many times; both dine in and take out. I've had sushi at other restaurants, at buffets, from the grocery store, and homemade. It is actually my comfort food when my stomach feels off. So.... I have yet to get a reply again (big surprise there) and I'm sure I won't see my money back that I wasted due to their mishandling, and so all I can do is hope to warn other potential victims of how this company now operates. Terrible, terrible.
