I went to pay my $1,500 computer off over the phone. Chris said that would be just fine then told me there was a a phone pay fee. I said, "OK forget it, I'll just mail a check for the balance today."

Chris stated that was fine too, BUT told me I would be billed DAILY for the interest until the check was received and processed. I thought I should clarify with him that I was mailing the check well in advance of the due date.

He understood but stated that I would still have a balance after I PAID OFF the BALANCE stated on my BILL.

Apparently other credit card companies are following suit! (citibank just instituted this program as well in June) The BIG difference here is other credit card companies give CONSUMERS alternatives. I paid my visa card and mastercard ONLINE with no fee, no accrued interest. DELL DOES NOT ACCEPT ONLINE PAYMENTS.

GUESS WHAT DELL -- I JUST BOUGHT A COMPUTER FROM YOU IN

OCTOBER and I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF PURCHASING A

NOTEBOOK FOR MY SON'S 13th BIRTHDAY (which is why I was

paying this off with my tax check) I'll use my Visa/Mastercard to purchase somewhere else & from another company.

I THINK YOUR AD MAN STEVE ISN'T THE ONLY CRIMINAL HERE --

DUDE I'M NOT BUYING ANOTHER DELL!.
