On December 13 2002 I order my new Dell Axim X5. I was quite excited. On the 17 it shipped next day from fedex

On the 18 when it did not arrive I called FedEx they explained that they had lost my package, and that I should call Dell for a replacement.

I did. Dell told me it would take 48 hours to verify that I did not receive the item, and then I get to start the entire order process again. I explained that this was a Christmas gift and that after christmas was no acceptable. My wonderful service rep offered a solution. Well how about we refund you your money. I said thanks I'll go locally and buy another PDA.

So the deed is done, my service rep tells me okay you mony will be refunded... In 15 - 30 days ! I then explained that this was insane...

How could they take my money from my account within 30 minutes of my order and then keep it without me having anything to show for. I and a Dell Certified Technician, I work for a $10 billion a year company standardized on only the dell platform. Hmmmm what do you think as an I.S. representative I will say as we reevaluate our purchasing policy next year? I'll tell you one thing it won't be "BUY DELL".
