While serving in Iraq April 2003 to 2004 being in the Army National Guard for a early Christmas present I bought myself a Dell Inspiration 5150 I bought the Dell Carring Case the works. I paid at the time about 2150.00 for it all. I ordered it from AAFES who orders direct from Dell for discounted Prices I ordered the system I wanted with Extened 3 year warranty the works.

My complaint is that only after three weeks having the laptop the LCD Screen cracked cause of the thing caseing they use in their products I tried emailing them about a return of the system and do to the fact I am soo far from the USA one of their reps said to call and return it once I arrive back to the states. I did so.

When I called Tech Support to do that they said due to the fact I was overseas it voids the warranty. I never say that when purchaseing it online. I am out there serving my country and a product I buy breaks they cheat us I am sure I am not the only soldier that has been treated with disrespect from DELL company. The Tech supports where very rude uncareing and said that the only thing that I can do is send the computer to be serviced and I would be charge 600.oo to replace the screen. The lap top is still in my hands and I took it apart and took the screen out now years later and trying to find a replacement LCD screen to fix it myself.

I DO NOT REcommend DELL at all Compaq and Hp and any other computer company is much better then them .

I have a new Comercial I want to do for DELL

Soldiers huddle around at mail call a soldier gets a DELL Box. and start opening another soldier said "Dude you got a Dell! Your Screwed Dell service and Support don't support troops computers."
