My motherboard went on Monday night, 23 February 2009. I called customer service to try and get something done about this and they told me I had to pay $49.00 plus tax and they they would go thru with what ever they do. But no they told me after my warrenty expires my computer is not worth the money I paid for it. I will tell everyone I know that is evern thinking about ordering from Dell that this is a very bad mistake. WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY ABOUT THEM RIPPING YOU OFF LIKE THEY ARE DOING..

exactly how are they ripping you off? Your warrenty has expired which means you pay for all repairs, just like with your car after the warrenty expires. And basically, with the advances in technology any computer more than a year old can be considered obsolete. It may still work fine for whatever you want to use it for but the resale value (if any) will be very low. This is just the way it is with all computers. If you don't like Dell's price then contact a local repair shop.

see if you had not been so cheap and paid the extra 79.00 for 2 year extended warr. you would not be so mad @ yourself for buying the cheapest computer dell sales with no extended warr. and getting mad @ dell because they wont fix it for free
