My Dell Inspiron 2500 notebook was purchased because of the spectacular service Dell advertises. I had problems and was told by Dell that it was not my Dell but my server, program, virus, installation or whatever. When they finally looked at it they said there was a thick dark liquid on the motherboard. Under warranty, they want $900.00 for a motherboard and $270.00 for service. Warranty is being refused as this is from "abuse and neglect". I never spilled anything on it. I resent the fact that they could have let me return it for examination a year ago and I would not have wasted my time, my server's time, Dell's time and my money (spent on anti-virus, XP Home Edition, CD burner).
