I have NEVER experienced such a run-a-round in my life. My son, a college Freshman, ordered an AC Adapter for his notebook. We ordered next day delivery on 4/27/05. When item didn't arrive by Saturday April 30, 2005 I became involved. Dell would consitently confirm the item was shipped - big deal -it wasn't here though.

The pathetic excuse for their carrier DHL is a joke. The adapter sat in a warehouse on Ohio since 4/27/05 and apparently after my frustration on Saturday, someone decided to get off their _ss and get it shipped. It made it to Watertown New York and the lazy driver from DHL indicated he made several attempts to locate RIVER ROAD in Norwood but couldn't find it and even went so far as to indicate he made several other deliveries in the area. River Road -- as this drier's boss clearly understood -- runs through three municipalities not to mention the fact that DHL has most certianly delivered our DELL products in the past at RIVER ROAD.

Last evening, May 2, 2005 I continued to call DELL and was assured each time that I should be patient the item will be delivered by 5:00 p.m. At five of five I called again to inquire about the chances of it arriving within 5 minutes. Be patient. Then again 5:30 same thing, be patient.

Then at 7:00 p.m. I demanded to speak with a DELL Supervisor. His name was MARIO. He went so far as to keep me on the phone and PRETEND that he was talking to a DHL supervisor who was AUTHORIZING overtime to a driver to get my item delivered within three hours and also, ASSURED me that HE, HIMSELF, would call back within three hours to verify that my item finally made it from Watertown (just 1 1/2 hours away).

Being quite surprised by that statement, I said "Honestly, you would do that?" He replied, Certainly, I will. GUESS WHAT, no package, no call, we stayed up till midnight. Today, of course, noone has answers. Apparently we are expecting to receive the package now between 1 and 3 - I'll let you know.

Another issue that burns my butt it that EACH DELL rep advised that the fee for next day delivery would be waived. I'm not stupid, DUH. What kind of statement is that anyway?
