Approached us to buy DELL INSPIRON 8500 Laptop worth about $2000.

He had the consignment in the hood of his car and showed us the supposed laptops, complete with DELL authentic cover with price and specifications written on it.

Agreed to sell it to us for $300 each, claims he gets it from Bay Area, and he sells about 300 each month. Calls himself Scott, has dirty golden teeth and is accompanied with another guy and a girl. He is very furtive, keeps looking around and asks only one of our friends to give him the money in his car.

My friend gives him the money and asks for the laptop to be shown to him again. He opens the cover and shows a Black supposed laptop with AOL CD and specs written, and does not open the plastic cover it is under, though removes the hard cardboard cover it is under. He just waves it momentarily, my friend is convinced.

As soon as my friend takes the laptop, he is off, and we discover that its no laptop, the hardboard cover has specs written, which is actually just printed from a good printer and pasted on it. supposed laptop turns out to be a Office Depot Black Folder, with newspaper stuffed inside, to approximate the weight of a laptop and good quality printed paper,is pasted on top complete with AOL CD just as in original DELL.

Did you just fall off the turnip truck? You get what you pay for! Sure, you got scammed, and it is a shame there are those out there preying on naive individuals, but the price should have given you a clue. Next time save your hard earned money and go to a reputable source.
