Delta Air Lines Baggage delay bad information to claim delay. abused & mistreated Atlanta Georgia

Flew from Montgomery Al to Lexington Ky (original destination Louisville) with a stop in Atlanta GA. Baggage checked through to Louisville Ky. Arrived in Atlanta after the flight to Louisville had departed due to (mechanical problems). After several hours was put up in a hotel for the night and the first flight out in the morning was for Lexington baggage was said to be taken care of. Upon arrival in Lexington was informed that one of our four bags was in Louisville (our original destination) and the three other bags were in Cincinnati. After many phone calls we found out that the three other bags were not in Cincinatti but were in fact in Atlanta and had never left.

We finally received our bags in time to check them in on Sunday. We stopped in at WalMart to purchase some clothes and personals for the weekend. The weekend was not a good one and to top it all off the baggage claim person said "you could submit a claim", this was in Louisville on Sunday the 29th of June, 2003. On monday called to find out how to submit the claim and was informed that I had no grounds for a claim. Lied to and left dirty!
