Delta airlines They charged me 200 dollar cancellation fee despite being sick with coronavirus!!!!!!!!

The most sociopathic, disgusting people (IE the airline insdustry) are at it once more!

I had to cancel my flight to Boston from NYC due to the coronavirus outbreak. I fell ill with COVID 19 and my meeting in Boston was obviously cancelled. When I went to the online cancellation page, I was told that the cancellation fee would be waived and that I could apply that money towards another flight in the future. I still thought this was inappropriate because, given the difficult financial situation of most people during this outbreak, they should just give you your money back. But of course not! So I settled to at least get the credit.

So the so called ecredit they gave me is minimal because they STILL charged me 200 dollars to cancel my flight without even being specific about how much they would charge you before you clicked on cancel. This is a SCAM! I always expect the worse from airlines in general, especially Delta. But to take advantage of the this dire public health situation to fill their pockets (on top of beng bailed out by the government with OUR taxes no less) it is despicable, absolutely disgusting.
