Purchased a long block 3406b engine from Greg slayton on a Wednesday he said would ship out Friday. It never did until two weeks later. When I finally received engine, we had to take the head off because he did not cover up the ports during shipping, a lot of debris down in ports. After taking the head off we put a liner gauge on block and only one liner was within caterpillar spec. The rest of cylinder liners was 55 thousandth low. And one of the Dow’s was bent over like nail. Front cover is growling. Cam has some rust on it. And they had used head bolts in it. We have pics and video from taking it apart. The engine is at a cat dealer in paducah ky. Wayne supply.
