Complaint Review: Delticom North America

Purchased a set of tires for a company vehicle.  Driver suffered two blowouts and bubbles were found on all four tires.  I am sure the folks at this company are very nice people, but they engage in shady business practices.  We will not be a returning customer and we will not recommend this company to anyone.  The 25 negative reviews of this company on the Consumer Affairs website, 26 customer complaints on their BBB website, and various other complaints on a variety of websites all speak for themselves.  

The tires were mounted at the Ford dealership, obviously a certified establishment with an excellent track record, unlike the distributors of these tires.  Bubbles on all four tires indicate that these tires were defective.  This would not be the first time that this company was found to be distributing defective tires.  See this news article:  http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/news/2014/11/counterfeit-car-tires-pose-consumer-risk/index.htm.  How is that tires-easy came to distribute tires that were “counterfeit?”  Rumor has it that this company buys lots of old and used tires, which would explain how we came to purchase 4 defective and dangerous tires. 

I surely hope that this company gets called out on their business practices, but I suppose we will have to let the news stories, negative reviews and multiple complaints against this company speak for themselves. 

I recommend to anyone who has purchased tires from this company and suffers a blowout to keep the tires and hire an attorney immediately.  Don’t bother with a refund, because they will not honor it, unless you have paid with American Express and can complete a chargeback.
