Complaint Review: DeMonaco Heritage Fund

DeMonaco Heritage Fund sent me a letter stating that I had been the recipient of an individual grant. The letter gives me information about the founding of the DeMonaco Heritage Fund which is only about a paragraph long. There are several quotes throughout the letter from Albert Einstein, Elvis Presley, Princess Di, Oprah Winfrey and Jerry Lewis.

This letter makes it seem as if these famous people have donated to this cause although it just states " These people have devoted generously from themselves to help others". The letter asked for me to send $25.00 for a nominal fee to help cover administrative costs. The letter also states that the nominal fee is refundable upon request.

I decided NOT to send any money since I never sent away for information on this company nor did I register to be in the drawing for a Heritage Fund. I would like to caution anyone who gets a letter from these people.

Remember, If you have never inquired or registered for something, then any information about free money is most likely a scam and to BEWARE! FRAUD is everywhere and you should learn to protect yourself against it.
