This mechanic is a LIAR and a CHEAT My Daughter took our TRITON UTE which runs on GAS to be looked at as it was backfiring. The mechanic said that the GAS CONTROL Unit was broken and would need a complete replacment at a cost of $630
I queeried that amount and asked for a WRITTEN QUOTE which they refused to do.
When we went to pick up the vehicle they wouldnt release it back to my daughter until she paid a 'QUOTE FEE'.
I said to them OK I'll pay but I want a written quote which again they refused to provide. They responded saying they wouldnt do it as ' YOU COULD GO TO ANOTHER MECHANIC TO GET IT FIXED'
We took the vehicle to another mechanic who found a faulty valve which he replaced for $100.
