On June 6, 2017, I went to Dental Dreams to have a loose tooth removed prior to being fitted for dentures. When initially interviewed for the procedure, I asked the dentist if I should take any antibiotics prior to the extraction since I have a pacemaker. All the other dentists had me do this as a precautionary measure. This information was noted in my chart regarding my pacer. This dentist had no clue what I was talking about and said I didn't need to do this. I went in to have the tooth extracted on the above date. She asked me which tooth. I proceeded to point to the tooth that needed to be removed. She proceeded with the extraction I received the normal precautions and followup information. I was given instructions and extra gauze for possible bleeding at the site. Next morning I got up to brush my teeth and found she had pulled the wrong tooth. Talk about being livid. That would be an extreme understatement. The tooth she pulled was the one that would have secured my dentures in place without having a screw in my jaw. She never pulled the one that was loose. Because of this dentists ineptitude, ignorance, or stupidity, I now will require a screw in my jaw bone if I want dentures. Do not go to this facility if you have alternatives.
