I received two messages today on both Cell phone and work # from a gentlman with either an Indian or Pakistani Accent with message that this was an important call from the Department of Law and Investigation with a return phone # of 845-765-9536 and that it was critical i return the call.

As the message was of concern, i returned the call. The person that answered was undoubtedly the same gentleman who had left the message. He indicated this was a serious matter, asked for my name, obviously had caller id available and immediately provided me with my 'CASE #'. He then indicated this call would be recorded and was being witnessed by as many as 10 lawyers and 'Officers'. When i asked for additional information on what the matter was related to - he implied it was related to financial fraud and he would then proceed with my affidavit. When i requested additional information as to the nature of this department - Federal, State Local City or County, he did not respond. He asked me to confirm that i was ready to proceed with my Addifavit.

At that point, i disconnected the call and decided to search for the 'DEPARTMENT OF LAW AND INVESTIGATION'. I found multiple links through my Internet Search engine to other rip-off reports related to the 'DEPARTMENT OF LAW and Invertigation."

THank you.

The Department of Law and Investigation is a fake, made up name designed to scare you into sending cash you don't owe.

If they call again, ignore them they're frauds.
