Hello, My name is Heather , I am 20 years old and i just had my first child 4months ago after i had her i new that i was going to have to have some kind of birth control , so i talked to my doctor when i went back for my postpartum appointment six weeks after having her. I was for sure that i was not going to take the pill because i was on the pill when i got pregnant so my doctor told me that he always suggested the Depo-provera shot . I asked him the side effects of gaining weight and he said you will not gain weight and it is very good well he left the office and the nurse come back in with the shot i ask her for more information on the shot and they gave me nothing so there for i didn't know that all the pain and horror it would cause me three months down the road. they didn't get me any information sheet or patient information or anything cause they keep the shot at the office so you don't have to deal with the pharmacy. well everything was good for a couple of weeks till i started to notice i had gained weight well i knew that every birth control can make you gain a little well a month went by and i was back in my maternity clothes and i was able to put my normal jeans back on when i left the hospital from having my daughter. well that was first then i started have major pain on my right side right under my rib cage a month later . well i ended up in the hospital with pain and have to have all these blood test run and ultrasounds and everything well come to find out i was going to have my gallbladder removed . i went to hospital on Friday had my gall bladder out on wed the following week and missed three weeks of work . and now i am still have joint pain and a bunch of problems with not having a period and i am due for the next shot and i got on the scale today and after i had my daughter i weight about 170 now i am at 203 and i am 5ft2inches the depo shot had cause me more trouble than worth i hurt all the time my doctor has not wanted to see me to keep check on weight gain i have done a lot of research in the past week and found out this is were are my problems have been coming from . i would have never did this two my body and women does not need the heart i sit and cry thinking if my doctor had told me what he really new about this shot this stuff would have not happened. it cause gallbladder , weight gain , joint pain and also stomach problems after having my gallbladder out its still not helped i have major stomach problems and am going to have a scope run on the 14th of Dec to see what else is going on . I am only 20 yrs old . the product needs to be off the market and also i found more research this shot is not supposed to be given if a women just has a baby it can make you gain more weight so please help me i am sick of hurting . But I believe her. Why? Because it happened to me, too, but under slightly different circumstances. I'm in my early 40's, have not had any babies recently, and not looking to have any more. I got the shot and within 4 weeks of receiving it, I was in the hospital. I thought I had the flu. Turns out I had a whole lot more going on.
When I went to the hospital, it took them a few days to figure out what was going on with me. I asked for a consultation with a surgeon to look at me because I'd had appendicitis a few years prior, and the pains felt very similar. Turned out I had all sorts of gallstones; the tubes inside my gut were collapsing, and my gallbladder was dead. During surgery, I had to have two units of platelets given to me, my vitamin D was through the floor..
basically, I almost died. I had an ECRP, I had stones removed and stents put in, which later had to be removed- and they found even more stones..
And it all happened within a few weeks of getting my first depo shot.
So, I believe her. Skinny jeans or not. Not everyone's body is the same.

Heather, or whatever your real name is, I don't believe any of it. You lost credibility when you said you had a baby and left the hospital with your 'normal jeans back on'. You don't lose the baby weight in 24 hours. I doubt you have ever had a baby just from that statement.
As to the rest of the report, if you lied about a part of the story that is unimportant, what makes you think we will believe any of it? Go somewhere else to play.
