The purpose of this letter is concerning the above-referenced matter. This issue raises an extraordinary interest that compels me to direct to your attention immediately. The absence of any articulated response suggests a holding principle to not remedy the issue. Any silence only rubber-stamps the issue and deeply supports the principle. As with any public servant quality services from professional employees are expected and vital. There is no valued and deeply cherished right than to be employed and provide that level of service. However, in some instances an employee can abuse their position of employment or authority. There is an acknowledged constitutional right to be recognized and make an argument. The right to be recognized is part of the fundamental principles of the constitution. On the other hand there is a general right that will clearly show an individual’s rights as a law-abiding citizen. The mere recognition of a written complaint does not mean that the statement governs interest. This issue is important not because of the complaint but because of I realize that no organization is error-free however, it is expected that employees render a level of professionalism that reflects the organization or business goal.

My driver’s license was due to expire on August 20th. I went to the DMV located at 4685 Peoria Street, Denver, CO 80239 for a renewal on August 18, 2016. During the transaction I was told I needed additional documents to verify the correct spelling of my last name. The spelling was incorrect due to one letter being left out. I moved here from out of state and my name was misspelled by one letter on my original driver’s license. Therefore, I returned on August 19, 2016 with the additional documents as proof for the correct spelling. The following documents and federal photo identification cards was provided: 1. Copy of my official military discharge (DD-214) from the army. 2. Copy of my birth certificate from out of state. 3. Original peace officers certificate from out of state. 4. Copy of fiscal year 2015 tax return. 5. Original social security card from another state. 6. Department of Veterans Affairs Employee Identification Card expires fiscal year 2017. 7. Department of Veterans Affairs Identification Card. The veteran cards are an official form of state and federal identification. I have never encountered any delays or undue harassment with TSA when using it as identification while traveling. As a federal employee I was required to provide two forms of identification prior to being issued an official government card. The entire process consisted of being finger printed and investigated by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) in Washington, DC. In additional to the process the local Department of Veterans Affairs does their local investigation. I used my out of state social security card as proof of my full name to obtain the federal employee identification card. There has never been any official document within the federal government that has a misspelling of my last name.

The DMV intake clerk requested the assistances of the first line supervisor whom identified herself as “Jennifer.” Jennifer bluntly stated the documents and identification cards were not valid. I immediately requested to talk with the station manager whom identified himself as “Kinsy.” Both of these individuals did not show any kind of professionalism nor did they use any tact. As a highly educated individual with nineteen years of schooling (four ungraduated, two graduates and an America Bar Associate (ABA) Certified Paralegal) maybe it’s so simple until I missed the point. The DMV refused the documents and my name is still misspelled. Also, they state the processing fee is $26.00 but charged additional for using my credit card. I did notice closely that there were a majority of Hispanics and African-Americans that Kinsy was degrading in an undertone manner. This was an extended volume of the DMV that mirrors in microcosm which is overwhelmingly the implications of the truth. This shared ideology seems to be an ongoing issue with DMV.
