Complaint Review: Derek Dause With Hollywood Soundz

Derek Dause contacted us in January 2008. He asked if we would participate in his wedding show this year. He said the woman who usually does the booth at his show, (whom he told us worked for the same company we do) decided to quit for personal reasons, and the show was always much better with a booth from our company. We agreed, and paid him $100 for a booth, and agreed to pay another $150 1 week before the show. Originally the show was scheduled for Sunday March 9 2008. He called 1 week before the show, asking when he would recieve the remaing $150, and to say The Lincoln Park Barn double booked his event with another, so his was cancelled. He said the event was re-booked, and would be held in the same location on Sunday March 30 2008. He agreed to recieve the money 1 week before march 30th. We bought a lot of supplies for the event, including bachelorette and wedding products for sale, that we are now stuck with unless we can find a legitimate bridal show to set up a booth. We have called Derek several times, and have left several messages, all to no avail. After reading in the G.J. Sentinel that he has done this others, we decided we want to do somthing about it as well. We're are going to file a law suit.
