When I first came across this website, this guy was complaining about the child support he has paid. I don't doubt him but there are an awful lot of dads out there not paying their court ordered child support. My problem is that I can't get CSE to do anything. The only time they make any kind of sorry attempt is when I call and harass the heck out of them. Even then not a whole lot is done. My exhusband has paid less than $1000 in nine years. They really don't care as long as they're getting their paychecks.

If it was them needing the child support, they'd be all over it. So in nine years he is now $15,000 behind. Not a lot for nine years, but then again the monthly payment was only $147 a month. Every time they start to garnish his wages, he quits. My son is now 14 and quite pissed off at his father. Can you blame him? The poor kid doesn't feel wanted. And he's not. Not by his low-life father anyway.

I certainly don't want to apply for welfare and I probably make too much anyway. I'm a waitress. But if I did get welfare, then they'd finally be after him. Why does it have to come to that? If they'd do their jobs in the first place, I wouldn't have to resort to having to go to the welfare office.

Stephanie,

If you have to wait on the CSE you will wait a life time. There are things that you can do if you know what to do and how to do it. If your ex owns a vehicle, a home or pays income tax you can get your money. Go downtown and tell the courts that you need the documents to file a suite against him. You can call the assesors office and find out what is in his name and then put a lien on everything. Call the IRS, tell them that you have a court order stating that he is to pay and have them fill out the paper work. You dont need the State!!!! Good luck, and you can do it...
