Purchased 17 windows to be installed Aug. 2002, gave deposit balance upon completion, which finally took place Feb 2003. Then year 2004 found Bedroom window coming out of frame of house & discoloration of all Window Frames, from Beige to Chocolate Brown. Called Mr. Stringer of Atrium Window,he looked at them said only 7 were their's, I called Mr. Desjardins who then contacted the other Window Co. Aegis Window & Door.
Much to my surprise I found out I have 3 Window Co. 1. Aegis, Atrium & Pella which was large Bathroom Window. Then found out the Pella window was nt shatter proof, which must be since it overlooks a bathtub. This was finally replaced.
Finally wrote letter to Reg. of Contractors, they came out looked over situation, sd owner must comply within so many days, which did not happen.
Took him to court he was ordered to come out and take care of necessary repairs. He sent a company called E.S.I, out of Ohio to do the recoating on the frames, by the way there was a recall on the dicoloration of frames. They said Life Time Guarantee.
As for the rest of the problems, todate my Kitchen window which was to be replaced, never got done, and I get water inside the window well, which now has caused water damage to my kitchen wall. Bedroom window was done, but around all the windows the caulking is cracking. I'm afraid some day all windows may fall out.
Just found out this company Desert Horizon Remodeling or Douglas Colin DesJardins filed Bankruptcy. As for Aegis tried calling them their # 602-415-0414 discconnected. Called information no such company

My name is Jason, I am the General Manager Of Aegis Window & Door. I , Aegis, am indeed a real company!
In Miss. Fee's defense I did move my manufacturing facilty in December of 2005, althought the 602-415-0414 number was forwrded to my new facility until the end of June of 2006. I am approximately 1.8 miles from my previous manufacturing location that i was in for 12 years.
I have been the Fee's residence on numerous occasions, I believe the first time was in 2004.
As for Desert Horizon, they are indeed out of business and did file Bankruptcy. When they shut there doors they owed me just shy of $20,000.00. One of the invoices in the amount owed were for the products that were ordered by Desert Horizon Remodeling from me, for her house. I believe the amout to be appx. $5000.00.
