Complaint Review: designplushome.com

designplushome.com Design+Home E-Commerce Scam. Order never shipped. No communication whatsoever! Internet

I purchased 2 wine bottle holders from designplushome.com in June 2013. Payment was made via Paypal. I didn't hear anything from the company again until Aug 2013 when they sent a standard shipping confirmation email notifying me that they have shipped the order. It took more than 2 months for them to "ship" the items, but I figured may be they were out-of-stock at the time and the wine holders were on backorder so I didn't make a big deal out of it. The email however didn't include any tracking number so I decided to email them asking about the tracking number or if they at least could tell me when the package would arrive. I didn't get any reply from them. 

I waited for more than a week for the package to arrive, which was plenty of time considering we are supposedly located in the same state (I am not sure now if anything they say on their website is true), but I NEVER receive any package from this company. There is no other way to contact them either, other than using the email. No phone number, no company address, no PO Box, nothing. I should have checked this first before making my purchase because these are really bad signs. 

I managed to get a number from Paypal transaction details and tried to call the number but always got a busy tone. The whole website is a SCAM. I doubt they really sell anything on their website. They never shipped my order, most likely never intended to. I am writing this report to warn other online shoppers to avoid designplushome.com. They also go by the name "Design+Home". Watch out for company or online stores that don't share their contact information other than their email. No matter how good the deal sounds.

An update for my previous report regarding designplushome.com:

I emailed the company again and this time managed to get a reply. They were very apologetic and immediately arranged a new shipment for my order. The products were delivered as promised.
