Designyourtie.com Chinissa Jackson unethical, less than honest, copyright infringers, rip off prices Macon, Georgia
As a promotional products distributor, I have outsourced several jobs to Chinissa Jackson, owner and design consultant of designyourtie.com between 2006 and 2009. There were issues with most of the orders:
One order arrived with little fabric tags sewed onto the back of the ties, on which DesignYourTies.com was written, although I had explicitly requested no such tags to be attached.
Another order arrived past my clients deadline. A huge deal since they were intended for an event.
Yet another order, many of the logos sewn into the silk ties were noticeably distorted.
At one point I saw some of my clients logos and ties being prominently displayed all over designyourtie.coms website, although I never consented Ms Jackson to do so. I asked her politely to take my clients copyrighted art off her website, to which she replied rather defiantly that I had consented to the Terms and Conditions, in which Ms Jackson claims that any and all artwork they worked on can be displayed on her site. I went back to the Terms and Conditions and did not see any such provision. Ms Jackson had straight out LIED to me. UNACCEPTABLE!!! That is an intellectual property infringement for heavens sake!!! I took my business directly to China (from where Ms Jackson sources her ties) and was able to get ties at $4.00/unit whereas DesignYourTie.com would have charged me $25/unit!!!
Thats what I call a classic RIP-OFF.
