On May 9, 2008 I placed an order online for gourmet groceries from this company. I paid $150.48 by credit card, including $34.61 UPS shipping costs. Following the transaction, I immediately received an automated receipt which correctly itemized my purchase.

One week later, on May 16, UPS delivered a box from DesiTarget. It contained a completely different list of items from those I had purchased. Also, The shipping costs they had charged were for 55lbs - the UPS label stated the package weighed 37lb.

I immediately began phoning the company, but all I've ever got is a message informing me that the lines are busy and I should try later.

I have also emailed them repeatedly, using both the the "customer service" number published on their web site, and the email address published as their Administrative Contact and Technical Contact in WHOIS. No-one has ever responded.

Al I have ever asked them to do is ship my correct order along with a UPS return label so that I can return their original delivery, but their total lack of response now indicates that maybe this was not a genuine mistake. They are ordering one set of items on their website but shipping out something totally different.

After continued, repeated emails the company did respond.

Their explanation was that the wrong shipment was "because of mismanagement in our shipping dept."

We reached an agreement on an amount they should refund to me and they instructed me not to bother with shipping the wrong items back to them.

As far as I'm concerned, the issue is now settled.
