Young man comes to the door, very chatty and friendly, I am in a hurry, says he is earning a trip to somewhere with some school team, by selling books and magazines. Said youth has a very casul and easygoing manner and sets me at ease with his calm demeanor and kind manner. He mentions the neighbors who have bought with him, the usual BS and wins my confidence. I need to go, so I spend $49 with him and simply file the receipt. When I follow-up a week later, the check has cleared and the receipt is "not valid" as per the check on the "company website".

Of course, the Destiny site says I 'may be a victim of stolen receipts'...yeah, right. I may be the victim of my own stupid empathy for others who falsely represent themselves as struggling to make a living (or steal my hard-earned money). The entire ruse is bogus, and Ken Kantner does not, in all likelihood, exist. Please be aware of this scam and do not give a check or cash to anyone representing this company.

If you wish to help someone, call your local Girl or Boy Scout offices, local school or shelter-do some real good with your hard earned money! I am recently laid-off and this is a real hardship; let my loss be a lesson to all who might be victims in the future...
