Complaint Review: Destiny Sales LLC

Around 6:30 last night, a teenage girl came to my front door, and said that she was a student at the University of Texas, and that her Journalism professor had set up a fund-raising campaign, so that she could go work with the BBC in London as a reward, if she was able to sell enough magazine subscriptions. Like an idiot, I wrote Destiny Sales a check for 49$ and she left. Immediately after I got back inside my house, I checked online and found all the information about this scam. Something has to be done to stop these people. I stopped payment on my check, and I'm going to close down my bank account this afternoon as a precaution. Please, do not fall for this.
