I am in need of dental care and do not have insurance or the money to pay for a dentist. I make about #21,000 annually and I heard that some dentists do pro bono work in Florida. I did a Google search and found this website, Dentists-Now.Com which advertizes it as a site where one can find such dentists. In fact there are no dentists only dental insurance plans. In addition, there 1-800 number connects to an ad by Time-Life to buy oldies music. The company is a fraud and a site that only promotes dental plans and no legitimate doctors are listed. They should be taken off the web.

Pro Bono Dentists

Pablo I am not a deadbeat nor am I an an elitist such as you are. Opinionated people like you are quick to be judgemental without knowing anything else about me. I didn't mention that I'm raising a teenage son by myself and that my vision is so bad that I am almost legally blind. There are, in fact, dentists who do perform pro bono work and I know that because I contacted the Florida Dental Association and they apprised me of that fact and also about Project Dentist Care. Where does the renark about suing a dentist come from? That program is only effective in some areas of the state unfortunately and I don't live in an area where that progam functions. You're a moron at best.I suggest that you read the Bible. Believe it or not it is full of good deeds and acts of kindness. And to Peter, I want to thank you for being so empathetic and understanding. My need is legitimate and it takes courage to admit that one needs charity on occasion. Thank God you balance out the Pablos of this world.

They have a large dental school here in town that does free or next to free, dental work. I've heard the people that get their work done there complain about; how bad the work is and how long it takes to get an appointment and how they don't schedule their appointments at the "right" times and how much they have to pay for their meds.

The worst one was, they charged her $50 for a crown and since she hadn't paid that, she couldn't go back and get the rest of her work done. Of course she pays around $150 every month for her cell phone. $50 for a crown that I pay $750 for. I think I'm getting ripped off. Not. $21,000? Give me a break. Some dental plans cost $5 to $50 a month, depending on what's covered and the percentage of co-pay. Pony up, get the work done and cancel.

I don't know where you got that from but even dental students charge for their work. Its a reduced rate but with costs of running a lab, materials, liability insurance, etc, they require ready cash. Why? Because freeloaders like you want free dentistry but if something went wrong, I doubt you would hesitate to sue. By the way, do you work for free? I think you should gas up, carry insurance on and maintain your vehicle and then run deliveries for free.
